Positive: I had an amazing 3 night stay at the FAUNA Hotel. I felt welcome in this beautiful place. My room was large, well appointed the bed was very comfortable Not knowing the area I thought I may need to take Uber from the Ferry to FAUNA. I'm so glad they suggested the 14 minute walk would be enjoyable. It was a delightful introduction to the city.

Negative: I truly liked everything. The only thing I might mention is to just be aware there is not an elevator. Worth the steps, though.

Positive: Exceptionally unique and beautifully furnished and decorated with midcentury antiques. Great quiet location in ciudad viejo. Lucy at reception was wonderfully helpful and accommodating.

Negative: Very minor but because it’s an older property, the outlets in room were a little awkward to find and utilize.

Positive: The Fauna is a wonderful place to stay. Jeronimo and Soledad are fantastic hosts, really communicative and helpful. The rooms are divine. Furnished beautifully. Well appointed and spacious. Great extra touches in the general hotel area too.

Positive: Small boutique hotel in Montevideo viejo. Wonderful location Room was funky and nice Staff, while only there in morning was very helpful.always able to communicate by WhatsApp.

Positive: The whole look and feel of the property--from lounge area to check in desk to the rooms--exuded curated postmodern style. It definitely lived up to the category of boutique hotel. So many wonderful touches, such as complementary fruit and bottled water in the fridge, along with an offer for a nightcap. Our host/front desk sherpa, Alberto, was such an incredibly gracious, helpful, and thoughtful individual. He was a true ambassador for the Fauna... And helped ensure that stay that my wife and I experienced was top notch, not to be confused with over the top.

Negative: There really was not much that I did not like. But if I had to speak for someone else, that was not as mobile, I'd say that the challenge would be somewhat narrow stairs with no access to an elevator. But to me, that was part of the charm and architectural style of the building.

Positive: Jeronimo was the ultimate amazing host - he reached out to offer help, provided personal recommendations, met us at the door to carry our bags and even contacted a friend whose restaurant we were going to, to ensure we got a great table. Absolutely a fantastic experience!
