Summary: We stayed a little less than a week and enjoyed every second. It is a very nice place, with warm, friendly and very hospitable hosts.

Summary: Door to outdoor space could not be locked properly. Could not be fixed and we could not get another room first night so we crossed our fingers and stayed which turned out to be ok.

Summary: Gorgeous location looking high over the countryside of Gubbio. The on site restaurant was delicious. Loved the shaved truffles and cream sauce pasta. The pool also provided a nice refreshing dip after the heat of walking around Gubbio (though the required disposable swimming cap was a bit odd).

Summary: The property is very nicely decorated and has a great view on the city of Gubbio. The facilities are big and roomy and nicely decorated. The cousine is excellent! The place seems to be a popular destination for weddings and birthday parties. The room are in a separate building so the parties do not bother, but they are not very sound proof, so if there are noisy guests staying the night you definitely want to have earbuds with you. Also because there is no stuff to call during the night.

Summary: Faro Rosso is a gem of a hotel with beautiful views over the countryside. Whether you like your stay or not depends a lot in your attitude. The service staff is not the quickest and there can be small glitches here and there but they are very friendly and helpful. With a little bit of patience they resolve the problems and make things work.
