Summary: Great place,but feel getting alittle pricey. Something is changing at shipshewana seems like the warm fuzzy amish feeling is getting replaced by everything is about getting people in and out and collecting the money. You need to start giving your loyal customers alittle break on the price. I stopped staying at the bluegate because wasn't feeling the love ,just saying

Summary: I expect a bed that is as comfortable or more comfortable than my bed at home, if I am spending $150+ on a room. The pillows on this bed were like sleeping on rocks. If you can, bring your own.

Summary: We had a bad experience with their king bed!!! It was very uncomfortable, we only got a few hours sleep that night!! We told them about it and they did change us into another room and it was much better but still a harder bed then we're use to, woke up this morning with sore backs!

Summary: Check-in was very easy. The desk clerk was polite and offered us a booklet about local shops and tourist sites. The room was larger than we expected with two nicely padded recliner chairs and very clean. Housekeeping had left a note welcoming us. Their towels were very thick and soft. the breakfast buffet had the usual selections of hot and cold items. It was a nice large dining area with tablecloths and windows all around with a view of a small playground for kids that we thought was a nice thing for them to have as there were young families staying there and the kids were able to play while the parents could sit and easily keep an eye on them from inside. We did not use it, but the pool looked really inviting.

Summary: Our double queen room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast choices included eggs, sausage potatoes, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, waffles, cereal, and yogurt. There is a nice sized pool for adults and older children as well as a kiddie pool. We enjoyed the large hot tub. We have stayed several times before and have never been disappointed with this hotel.
