For 4 adults plus a small child on approx. 100 m2, 2 bedrooms (double bedroom + kids’ bedroom with bunk bed, crib), large dining and living room, bright and nicely furnished, TV (plasma), video, radio, winter garden (additional bed); kitchen, toilet, bathroom with shower and bath tub. Garden, play area and barbecue area. Separate garden area.
The house is surrounded by a large garden (0.8 ha) with orchard, vegetable farming (dynamic biology) for self-catering, flowers, herbs and a spring. We have a fish pond, sheep, chickens and play area and barbecue area. Everyone can find his own place here that invites for activity and play as well as for recreation and relaxation. Sandpit, slide, 'knights castle', table football, table tennis, soccer field on the premises.
The studio is a separate room that can be used by a smaller group, as well as a place to withdraw, to meditate or simply as an extra sleeping space.
We offer a non-smoking home.

Summary: We stayed for 9 nights, in a great apartment in Haus Mandorla. The Pictures do not really do it justice - very spacious, comfortable, cool in the warm summer evenings and although part of the main house it is extremely private. Haus Mandorla is very clean and tidy, with lovely, interesting gardens surrounding the house, a herb garden, wild flowers, farm animals, chickens wandering freely a great spot to relax on a down day. Location-wise Bad Wurzach itself is small, but well worth a visit, and the park which surrounds the town is a nice spot for a walk. There are two large supermarkets, 5 minutes form the house and we basicall self-catered for the entire trip. Bad Waldsee is 10 minutes drive and has the best "Freibad" we found in the area. for 12e your family can spend the entire day, by the lake, using its many pools and facilities - the children absolutely fell in love with the place, and the town of Bad Waldsee itself is beautiful. Ravensburger is approx 30 minutes drive and a great day trip, again, a picture postcard old city, with a great buzz in the town square and many unusual shops (along with a few of the bigger chains on the outskirts) Legoland is 60 minutes drive, so well within striking distance while Neuschwanstein is an hour in the other direction (I would recommend the Tegelberg cable car which is right next to the castle but a third the price of the zugspitze) So all in all we loved the area, the apartment and will definitely be looking to go again. The weather was also fantastic for the 9 days, so that helped. Thank you Peter and Elizibeth for a lovely stay.

Summary: We had a lovely week at Haus Mendorla. The accomodation is very spacious and well specified and the owners were always very helpful and willing to share their local knowledge. We loved the organic vegetables and trout we bought from them (there is a natural spring in the garden and they have created their own trout pool!) There is also a little shop (always open) with other organic produce - even chocolate for late night treats! The area is not a major tourist destination which suited us. It is still within striking distance for day trips to Bodensee/Lake Konstanz and Neuschwanstein castle (queuing for tickets took longer than the drive there!) On 'days off' we enjoyed 2 family cycles in the local area - routes are well marked with lovely villages and rolling scenery and even a lake for swimming. Bad Wurzach itself is a small town with good facilities. We had lovely meals in Hotel Adler and Robertos (I think that was the name) All in all we had a very restful stay. What a pleasure to wake to the tinkling of bells from the rare breeds sheep - such a change from the noises of London!

Summary: We stayed at this apartment while visiting Germany recently. This is an excellent apartment in a really nice area and we had a great stay. It is very comfortable with two good bedrooms, a fully equiped kitchen and a really nice dining/living area. The owners are very friendly and willing to help with advice on places to visit, etc. There are bikes for rent and we enjoyed cycling on the various cycles tracks nearby. Bad Wurzach is a lovely town and worth a visit or two.
