Nestling in the countryside of one of ''the most beautiful villages of France'' with panoramic views and private pool this family friendly house with access well off the main road surrounded by fields of sunflowers is perfect for relaxing or as a base for exploring the rich sites of the Dordogne. Bergerac airport is only 45 mins drive away.
At the confluence of the Dordogne and Vezere Rivers, Limeuil village, 2 mins drive away, offers canoeing and a river beach, perfect for a picnic outing or drink at the local bar/restaurants. Here you will find a vending machine for fresh bread. 5 mins drive from the property in the pretty market town of Le Bugue are bakers, large supermarkets, banks , restaurants, pharmacies and a variety of attractions like the largest privately owned aquarium in France.
Drive leads into courtyard with main house 160m2, garden, pool and open barn with tables and benches for casual eating and table tennis.
The house is well equipped and furnished and is maintained by a local British couple. On the ground floor the property has a 36m2 farmhouse kitchen/diner with table and chairs for 8 and a small sitting area, ample cupboard space with an electric oven, electric hob, dish washer, washing machine, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, microwave and an American style refrigerator and freezer.
The 37m2 lounge is equipped with a wood burner, surrounded by comfortable sofas and chairs with a large flat screen TV, a DVD and CD player and a radio, leads directly into the garden.
On this floor is also a shower room with toilet in large double storey hallway with a staircase that leads to the first floor with a central bathroom and toilet and 4 bedrooms. One side offers a large Master bedroom with king size bed, next to smaller bedroom with two singles. The other side has a large bedroom which attaches directly into to a smaller bedroom with bunk/ Singles. (Entry to the bunk room is via the large bedroom)
Garden has stunning view of the countryside and chairs to enjoy the panorama and leisurely afternoons.

Summary: House is large and comfortable. Short drive to shops, bars and restaurants but walkable to Limeuil. Outside facilities (pool and bbq area) well used and very nice.

Summary: Our family really enjoyed a week in the property. It is well equipped, very spacious and completely private. The fans in the bedroom were particularly welcome in the hot weather! The hangar is a great addition to make the most of the outside space whatever the weather. From here and the pool you can take in the lovely countryside views too. The pool is very good but could just do with some grouting being completed around the edges. Within a few minutes drive is the really picturesque village of Limeuil overlooking the Vezere and Dordogne rivers with a several shops and restaurants. A few minutes in the other direction is Le Bugue, also a pretty town with all the facilities you could want. A perfect location!

Summary: We plan to move to France and are torn between rural properties with lovely views, peace and privacy, or something more central in a village or small town. This property offers peace and tranquillity along with everything you need just a few minutes down the road in Le Bugue. Alternatively, if you just want a drink or something to eat, you can stroll along to Limeuil, which is a beautiful village nearby. It is in a lovely location. The barn with the tables and chairs overlooking the fields, the table tennis table and the pool were the highlights. The only time we spent in the house was when we were cooking, showering or sleeping. It was so gorgeous outside that we didn't want to be anywhere else! We started a table tennis challenge which became so competitive, it carried on at our next property. We loved being able to walk along to Limeuil and having Le Bugue such a short drive away. Le Bugue, was lively, catering for tourists very well. We also liked visiting the river at Tremolat where the boys tried waterskiing for the first time and loved it! The property was clean and had everything we needed for our holiday. Sonya also came around a couple of times during our stay to ensure that the pool was clean and to check on the chemical levels. We loved this area of the Dordogne and would be happy to return.
