South Blue Lake has been a destination of families; cherished by our family, treasured by our friends. The rental getaway is located in Hazelhurst, WI, just 7 miles south of Minocqua, 1 mile off Hwy 51 on beautiful South Blue Lake. This cottage is located on a beautiful 100 acre lake with limited public access. This gorgeous lakeside cottage offers a variety of northwoods feel. With 100 ft of frontage, crystal clear water, sand beach and a lake bottom with gradual depth that makes swimming and entertaining a pleasure. The small-mouth bass and bluegill population await the fishing enthusiast; the beach area includes a 60 ft dock, canoe, row boat, aqua trike, raft, paddle boards, kayaks and paddle boat. While entertaining or spending time with your family outdoors, experience our beach bar and a cozy camp fire area for these days and nightly gatherings.
This (3) bedroom 3 king beds, TV’s in all bedrooms, (2) bathroom, 2700 square ft, non smoking cottage has an open main level with a vaulted ceiling. It is equipped with central air, washer, dryer, (2) dishwashers, in-floor lower level heat, ice machine, glass froster/freezer, (2) pizza ovens, earth stove and a stone fireplace. Enjoy the 1000 square ft upper deck offering stunning views in the day and lighted ambiance at night. The lower level entertainment area allows you to have fun playing darts, watching Direct TV, playing Wii or relaxing at the custom built bar that overlooks the beautiful lake. The outdoor living/grilling area not only allows you to relax and take in the beautiful scenery, it provides an outdoor grilling island where you can prepare your favorite meals in this stunning granite top/stone constructed Char-grill complete with overhead stainless steel spark arrester.
If you have the need to get away to experience more of the northwoods has to offer, golf and tennis are located just minutes away. Summary: My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Unfortunately, the weather was too dreary and wet most days for the hiking and biking we intended to do. Luckily, Mary and Mike's home was comfortable and cozy....perfect for reading, puzzling and napping and the view is enchanting in any weather.

Summary: Mary is wonderful to work with. Their home is beautiful. Everything you would want and more. Grandkids absolutely LOVED the fishing from the dock. We all caught lots of fish! All the water toys were great. Nice sandy beach for the kids. In fact the last day while packing up they said Grandma, can we come back here!!!

Summary: Home was exactly as described. Very well kept, too beautiful to rent out. Beach was nice, fishing good. But overall, the owners were easy to get in contact with and very friendly. Would recommend this home.

Summary: This is our third time staying at this home and once again it was a wonderful time. Mary and Mike have put such love into their home and this makes it a very comfortable place to stay. The inside of the home and its open living makes it nice to cook, eat, play games and enjoy time as a family. The outside areas do the same. During the day, we enjoyed sitting on the dock while the kids played in the water. The kids enjoyed swimming to the swim platform, playing games in the water, and paddling around in the kayaks, paddle boards, and canoe. A few days they were catching so many fish they almost got bored of catching them. In the evenings, we all enjoyed grilling out on the lower patio then going to sit by the fire and watch the millions of stars and listen to the loons. Overall, the love and care Mike and Mary have put into this house comes out and makes every moment relaxing and enjoyable. Thank you for the use of your home, The Hudson's

Summary: This home was perfect for our family vacation! The owners met us upon arrival, they were friendly and gave us a tour of their home and all we needed to know regarding their property. We enjoyed the beach area and all the "toys" shared by the owners... Paddle boards, kayaks, canoe, row boat, Lilly pads, paddle boats...we had plenty to be entertained. Our week went by fast with lazy mornings, days hanging out by the water and a few campfires at night. The property is a well cared for home that is ideal for entertaining and family togetherness. I truly recommend this property and with the proximity to Minoqua, there are restaurant choices and other activities.

Summary: My husband and I treated our kids and grandkids to a week at the lake. This home was perfect for us and our 5yr & 2yr old grandkids. The dock is great and the shallow, sandy shoreline is perfect for children. We all loved catching fish off the dock and the home was very comfortable for our 6 adults and 2 kids. There are bigger lakes nearby for our musky fisherman son, and Minocqua is just up the road. We would love to come back!

Summary: my daughter chose this house because it was very family friendly. lots of toys, a crib, high chair, even a gate at the top of the stairs leading to the lower level. the lake was clear with a shallow entry and a gradual slope to deeper water. lakeside there was a swing set, dock, fire pit and a fleet of small watercraft. the house was clean, modern and loaded with amenities, it was nice having the bearskin trail on the opposite shore of the lake. the owners were a joy to work with and we got our security deposit back in record time. i've rented at least 10 homes on vrbo and this was one of the best.
