Summary: This hotel was rated higher than I would have expected. It is an aging property that is struggling to stay clean & up to date. The common areas are clean & well maintained, but our room was not. There was a distinct odor every time we entered the room—a slightly urine like smell—could be mold or mildew, as there was no ventilation fan for the bathroom & it got very steamy in there while showering. The carpet had holes in it & the tub & shower had cracks & moldy spots in it. The TV did not work—some kind of digital error that wouldn’t allow channels to load & the remote control was filthy. There was also a device on the wall facing my side of the bed that had blinking green lights (maybe a smoke detector) that was fairly distracting when the lights were off at night. The bed & pillows were comfy & clean & the breakfast was plentiful & tasty. The front desk staff was kind but the hotel did run out of bathroom & pool towels at one point during the weekend.

Summary: Great location. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast was very good. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful. Located close to restaurants.
