Positive: Words can’t adequately describe how wonderfully warmly we were received at Villa Keur Bibou. A beautiful house filled with tribal art and curiosities, a private boat to ferry you back and forth whenever you desire, expert local knowledge at your fingertips, a ride from the airport, all this organised without charge or fuss. Not to mention the surprise jacuzzi and aperitif, the warm and lovely staff who think of everything, are always nearby when you need them and completely invisible otherwise, and should you be lucky enough to meet Michel himself, well he’ll make you feel like you’re a visiting dignitary. I’ve travelled extensively, both with and without my family, and cannot recommend a stay here highly enough. They really care that you are comfortable, have everything you need or could want, and bend over backwards to make your stay perfect. 12 out of 10. Also worth mentioning that if you’re new to Dakar or Senegal the Île de Ngor is a great place to begin your stay. Removed from the hustle and bustle it packs in a lot of interest for its small size.

Positive: Peace, calm, quiet, creative, soulful, great staff, Matar, Nima, and Mame Cheikh au Top ! if I could I would have booked it for a month. This place is a must if you want an escape from the craziness of Dakar. If you're an artist, or a group of friends, The house is clean, crazy/funny decorated, very creative, the owner is a famous photographer videographer and you have access to his material. such a great place and an underrated treasure. Some would say expensive, I would say first :No, it's not, compared to anything around and especially in Dakar. Last but not least every house with a soul has a price.

Negative: The water pressure, but it's usual in this part of town and you still have the Jacuzzi for more fun.

Summary: refreshing, quiet, peaceful, beautiful. PERFECT for a friend or couple retreat
