Central to many top Southern Utah locations & only 1 mile from Zion Kolob entrance. Stocked with everything you'd find in your own home except the food! We offer day packs, trekking poles, first aid kit & more at no extra charge. I'm happy to talk hikes and itineraries with those who need some pointers! You'll find adventure, relaxation & whatever else you're looking for. Meticulously cleaned between guests. On a 5 acre lot with plenty of space & privacy.
The house is only 1 mile away from the less-visited Kolob Canyon side of Zion National Park. Just 2 minutes away from I-15 for easy traveling to Kanarraville Falls, Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Brian Head, Grand Canyon, Shakespeare Festival, Snow Canyon, Navajo Lake, Panguitch Lake & many more popular Southern Utah locations & events. At 45 minutes from the south entrance of Zion National Park, we are closer than St. George.

IMPORTANT ROOM & BED INFORMATION
-Please be sure you understand the room sizes, bed configurations, bed types & weight limits we have on 2 of the beds. If you have questions, please ask.
-The beds in rooms #2 and #3 are bunk style beds. The bottom bed in room #2 is a double and has a regular (non bunk bed) mattress. The bottom bunk in room #3 also has a regular mattress. So, all ground-level beds have regular, nice mattresses and will sleep 3-5 people depending on whether you double up in the queen and/or double bed.
-Both top bunks have a weight limit of 150 pounds and have standard bunk bed mattresses. We cannot put thicker mattresses on the top bunks because of design and safety factors. Due to the climbing involved & basic mattresses, these two beds will not be ideal for most adults. If the person exceeds 150 pounds, neither of these beds will work at all. Please take this into consideration when thinking about sleeping arrangements for your group.
-The 2nd room in this house is quite small. The 3rd room is very small. There isn't much more space than what the pictures show. They are basically just spaces for sleeping and can't be used for much more than that.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
-The property has four outdoor security cameras. One is on the roof of the house and faces west for a view of the driveway approach. The other is on the east side of the gazebo and faces east for a view of the eastern approach to the house. Both entrances may have Ring Doorbell cameras.
-Guests are welcome to smoke outside, just not inside the house or near open windows or doors.
-For television viewing we have 38 over-the-air digital T.V. channels plus the televisions are connected to the internet. I have active Nexflix & Amazon Prime accounts.
-The nearest stores are in Cedar City, about 20 minutes away. So be sure to stock up on supplies on your way here. We will start you out with some soap, shampoo and toilet paper. But if you've got a big group or are renting for several days, you'll probably need to bring some more of your own.
-There are two homes on the 5 acre property. Only one is for rent. There is sufficient space between the two homes for plenty of privacy. I live in the main house on this property with my wife and 3 children.

Summary: Zion’s Roost was a perfect cozy place to stay when we explored southern Utah. It was in the perfect location when we visited Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, and the Candy Cliffs. The house was immaculate, perfectly stocked,and meticulously organized. Zion’s Roost completely met our needs on our vacation. David was a very gracious host who went out of his way to help us with the sites in Zion and other local attractions. We would definitely stay here again!

Summary: My boyfriend and I stayed at Zions Roost for 4 nights while we explored the park, and it was absolutely perfect. The house was perfect, it’s a great location right outside of the park with a gorgeous view! Dave the host was extremely accommodating and even came over to show us some of his favorite spots and hikes to visit. It was really nice to see other less crowded parts of the park that we would never have known to visit! He even lent us trekking poles and gear and offered to help get us to some trails. The house was clean and organized and had literally anything that we needed. We really enjoyed grilling in the backyard after a long day of hiking. We’ll definitely be back to Zion because 4 days wasn’t even close to enough time, and we’ll staying here again! Much thanks to Dave for sharing his beautiful spot with us and for all of his help! You can tell that he genuinely wants to make sure that you enjoy your time there and it really shows!

Summary: Communication was great before arrival and driving and entry instructions were perfect. Very clean, nice furniture and kitchen and outdoor dining area. Private space and so close to the Kolob Canyon entrance to Zion and I-15. Less than 2 hours to many other parks, great central location for day trips. Lots of storage and 3 bedrooms can accommodate a family easily. Thanks David, for a great stay!

Summary: This house was more than we expected. Very clean and neat and everything we could possibly need for our stay. This was one of the best VRBO houses I’ve ever stayed in. David even came over at 6:30 in the morning one day to help us air up our tires. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Summary: This was a perfect spot for us as we like to see alot of the State when we vacation. Bryce canyon, kolob canyons, zion, Grand Canyon, red rock canyon, St George are some place we traveled. The North rim of the Grand Canyon being the longest drive about 2.5 hrs. There is a peacock that lives around the property that would hang out with me on the back patio. Excellent home base for you Utah adventures.
