5 Bedroom Cabin in Lake Arrowhead

Luxury accommodations in a private gated compound with two lodge buildings on 40 acres overlooking Lake Arrowhead. Just right for family gatherings (up to 21 people), reunions, workshops, and corporate retreats. The posted nightly rental rate includes both the Ponderosa and Sugar Pine Lodges ensuring maximum privacy for our guests. However, in off-season we occasionally rent a single lodge at a reduced rate.
Our outdoor amphitheater is ideal for weddings and other special events, but not included in the lodge rental. Please contact us for separate booking information. If our guests are renting both lodges and require a little extra space, for an extra charge, there is a one-room apartment with a queen bed and a double futon, with a half bath. Otherwise, our outdoor spaces (walking/hiking trails) with views of the lake, are available for use by our guests.
Ponderosa Lodge: The larger of the two buildings (sleeps 13) contains a Master suite with an attached full- bathroom, and a queen bed on the main floor. Also on the main floor is a bunk room that has one twin and three bunks (six beds). Upstairs, there are two bedrooms. One has a queen bed, and one has two twin beds. On the main lodge floor there is a gender-neutral bathroom with two private toilets and two private showers. The Chef's kitchen is fully equipped with cooking equipment, two Viking ranges, a microwave, dishwasher and a 48" refrigerator with an ice maker and filtered water dispenser. Of course, all glassware, plates and utensils are provided. Professional chefs love this kitchen. The living room contains a large fireplace (firewood is provided), flat-screen TV, (cable and DVD player), i-Pod docks and Wi-Fi. Outdoor living spaces include a large wrap-around deck with luxury seating, 3 outdoor dining tables, an additional fireplace, a large natural-gas grill (gas provided), serving bar and an additional restroom, with two private stalls and a private shower.
Sugar Pine Lodge: This is a real log building (sleeps 9) consisting of three rooms; great-room, kitchen/dinette, and gender-neutral bathroom with two private stalls, a private shower and two sinks. The great-room has a fireplace and seating area, with a flat-screen TV (cable and DVD), Wi-Fi, and i-Pod dock. Next to the seating area is a unique bunk bed with a double mattress below with standard twin bunk above. In the center of the room there is a large round dining table that seats 8 people. At the far end, there are three 3 bunks (sleeps 6), which can be screened from the great-room with a large privacy curtain. The kitchen/dinette is fully stocked. The outdoor patio has a fantastic view of the lake, and contains a gas grill, and outdoor fireplace, covered eating area and luxury seating.
Apartment: (at extra charge). The apartment is located adjacent to a covered parking area, below the Ponderosa Lodge with a separate entrance. It is a one-room apartment with a queen bed and a double futon/couch, with a fireplace (gas, not wood burning) and its own a half bath.

Summary: The cabin is cute but not worth the price. There is no master bedroom and all bathrooms are for share. There is no king bed, not privacy at all. I remember it said it was on a huge private property but when we went outside to walk we saw more people. There is a play area that is not working.

Summary: I rented this cabin for a weekend with 17 women. It was perfect for such a large group, especially with the separate smaller cabin. We had all the "early bird" people sleep in the smaller cabin, so they wouldn't be disturbed by the loud laughter late at night. They were able to wake upearly, have their coffee and breakfast and enjoy the beautiful views prior to the rest of the group getting up. There was plenty of parking for our 8 vehicles. Water pressure in the showers was excellent, the fire place was cozy, and the kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, pots and pans. Do bring your own blanket if you plan to cozy up outside, as they didn't have any extra blankets sitting around that weren't on beds. The walls were very well insulated, so sleeping in one of the upstairs rooms was lovely, even with people talking right down the stairs.

Summary: This property is perfect for families traveling together with kids! We were very impressed with how clean it was when we arrived and the Property Manager was friendly, easy to communicate with and so accommodating! There are so many fun places to explore outside and the trees and views are breathtaking! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, top-notch vacation. There are so many wonderful places to eat outside, reconnect with nature and just “be present.” Wow! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Summary: We went for a family reunion/birthday trip and it was more than we expected! This cabin is beautiful in every way! It’s private and that was probably the best for us since we had little kids. We went right after a snowfall and had so much room to play! Judy was beyond helpful the entire time as well.
