Summary: My family and friends had a great time in the villa. The property is ideally located close to the little Mejean harbor, which is great when taking the paddle board or kayaks to sea. We especially loved hanging on the large deck which offers a great view on the calanque and is perfect for group lunch and dinners.

Summary: This was a lovely place to celebrate our new marriage with friends. We hired a chef the host recommended one night and we have a lovely time. There were a few little things that did not work but they were immediately fixed by the host. Severine’s responses were helpful and quick. If you can stay here do it!

Summary: Villa Cap Mejean is a unique wonderful magical place. I was there with my wife and 10 friends who were visiting the Marseilles area for the rugby world cup. Everyone had the most wonderful time and loved the venue. There is so much to do and everything is right there: Ocean, kayaking, paddle boarding, cute cafe, beautiful views, the list goes on. Also, Severine is an excellent host with fantastic instant communication. If you are considering staying in the area, the Villa will not dissapoint.

Summary: The house is tastefully decorated, although we spent most of our time outside on the wonderful main balcony. The plancha was great for preparing meals, which we ate at the outside dining table overlooking the water. The pool also has stunning views and was very warm, unlike the sea that was surprisingly cold. Miscellaneous comments and observations: The house has neither AC nor any fans. This was not a problem in the main living area, but at night in the bedrooms the choice was either be hot or open the windows and risk the mosquitoes. The walls of the upstairs bedrooms are quite thin. Be warned! It is not clear from the description, but one of the bedrooms downstairs is only accessible by going through another bedroom Bring beach shoes if you want to use the tiny beach. It is very rocky The last mile to the house is very narrow and may require backing up to allow other cars to pass, as such renting a smaller car is advisable. Also do not use a car with a low front spoiler as it will scrape the ground when entering the property There was no netball or badminton equipment as advertised, but not sure where we would have played if there was The canoe has a leak (we fixed it with duct tape) and the paddle boards needed inflating, but a local took pity on us and kindly lent us his pump. The location of the key box is described as being on the right of the front door when it is in fact on the left The wifi password is all lower case, unlike the instructions on VRBO

Summary: If you were looking for a place to get away from the bustle of the city and enjoy the beautiful serenity and spectacular views of the Calangues n France, this is a fabulous choice!! The three story home is zoned beautifully for family get together meals but private enough for families to stretch out and have privacy. Experience nature in its finest form at this lovely location! Fun for every age and stage! So relaxing and beautiful and the hiking was extraordinary! Easy drive into Marseille. It was the family getaway that we all needed and enjoyed!

Summary: We had a wonderful 10 days at Villa Mejean. The greeting and welcome information by Jean-Marc was all that was required for our stay. We found the house great to sit out and enjoy the view of the little bay and occasional boats. The bay was quiet, just a few locals (fisherman etc). (Although, we would have loved an invitation to play Petanque). ! Relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the quiet was just a tonic for the soul. The location was wonderful to experience, we had a wonderful day on the Lac de St. Croix canoeing, and picnic. Another day we visited a wonderful Van Gogh exhibition in Aix. The house was overall well equiped for cooking, with a great outdoor BBQ. A supermarché and bakery are nearby for all necessary food items. We also enjoyed the markets at Carry le Rouet (larger seaside town) a couple of times. We also took the train to Marseille one day for lunch, and caught the bus up to the Notre-Dame de la Garde with a view magnifique. We loved the coastal walk which was truly breathtaking. Thank you Jean-Marc, we enjoyed staying at your home very much, it was truly a great way to experience the Calanques and southern Provençal region. Solveigh and Michael and Family Sydney, Australia

Summary: The place - the house, Cap Mejean, Provence - is truly heavenly. Superlatives fail here. The owner is a wonderful host who met us the first day, gave us a very thorough briefing and a champagne welcome on the patio. After we stopped hyperventilating from the beauty and majesty of the coastal views, he toured us around this perfect, solid and yet still eminently cozy, villa on the sea. The next few days were spent meeting the fisherman in the morning to buy fresh Dorado and Bonita and squid, lying about the pristine swimming pool, taking the train into Marseille for food/markets/museums, swimming in the sea, 30 minute road trips to Aix. Wine and food and markets are absolutely everywhere and the local population is so welcoming and lovely. Our group of 9 adults did NOT want to leave after our 6 day stay. I would return there immediately as I sit writing this review. Sigh. Merci beaucoup, Jean-Marc!

Summary: Arriving directly from NY we were completely charmed & enthralled by the house, which is nestled directly in front of the sea with stunning views! Even though it was only late March the weather was perfect (cloudless blue skies, warm and among the best times of the year to enjoy full days outside in the sun). The house is beautifully but comfortably decorated and we all felt immediately at home. We spent most of our stay in and around the house without feeling the need to venture too far away. Cooking, lounging, walking, reading & even working when necessary was a complete pleasure and it was very difficult to have to leave at the end of the week! We highly recommend this home and cannot wait to come back again...
