Summary: Hi. We are frequent travelers in Italy. I always try to book 5 star facilities to be safe on service, standard and cleaning. As long as rooms feel updated, good ventilated and clean, then I am happy. We had a suite high up in the facility so I did not book bad rooms - this is a 8 story facility - best rooms are from floor 4 - 8. This resort was probably 5 star once upon ancient history. Not now. Max 3-4 star. Bathroom was in my view in really very very bad condition. I almost preferred not to shower. This is an extremely worn down facility, bad smell in all corridors with carpets that feel 50 years old. Smell of mould. Ventilation did not work well. This facility is in urgent urgent need of renovation. This hotel and staff (not least their outfits) feels like a hotel from the 50th century. Location and views is good but this Hotels does not feel 5 star at all and not worth the price they charge. If you stay here to visit portofino, then choose another closer hotel that offer shuttle service. Beach club is cool but not even close to similarly priced hotels such as miramalfi that have similar beach club (were you really feel 5 star). They do a "disent" job to make you feel good and taken care of but sorry to say - next time in this region I will go for another Hotel. Breakfast is okey but not on 5 star level.

Summary: The nature and sea view of the hotel is simply magnificent. But unfortunately, it is full of rude employees that do not suit this hotel. While the waiters in the restaurants are very friendly and love their jobs, the reception and reception staff are equally indifferent. Although I could not find the door of the hotel that I came to for the first time in my life, their careless expressions on this issue made me wait for 40 minutes in 35 degrees heat. This is not an Airbnb house, it is a 5-star hotel and they think they deserve not to help me, unbelievable! Their rudeness and condescending attitude is really incredibly bad. The room they upgraded afterwards unfortunately does not compensate for what they made me experience. When I checked out, they added 500 Euros of the person who stayed in the room before me to the extras on the date of my stay and they would have made me pay that if I did not check the list .. It is a terrible attitude. This is the first time I am writing a bad review about a place because I will never forget the victimization they made me experience that day. I cannot believe that you ruined this hotel with such wrong employee attitudes!

Summary: Hotel was in a great location, but upon entering our junior suite room for a "5" star hotel we were extremely disappointed! The room had a horrible perfume smell, was very dated, and felt more like a 2 star hotel. Maybe it was a 5 star hotel 50 years ago, but i wouldnt consider it one now. After reaching out to management about the smell, they looked at us like we were crazy and said there is nothing sprayed in the room. The hotel sent up housekeeping to check the room, and they confirmend that they indeed do spray a perfume in the room daily!!! For the amount we spent on this 5 star hotel room we much rather have stayed somewhere else for cheaper. Save your money and stay somewhere else! Id rate this hotel a 3 star Max!
