Positive: Convenient location for overnight stop before channel crossing. Good inexpensive restaurants in nearby villages. Nice touch leaving water bowl and treat for dog. Relatively good value and quality. Nature reserve good spot to walk dogs.

Negative: Bunk beds not made up on arrival- we had to do this ourselves. Only two towels (booking for four adults). A lot of police around -suspicion of boat illegal crossings from here. Quite cramped with limited kitchen equipment/minimal toiletries (one shower gel and no soap for 4 people).

Summary: Convenient quiet and compact studio in handy location for Calais.

Positive: Dog friendly , location is great for beach vacation . 5 min walk to the beach.

Negative: Front gate was locked and I was not able to unlock with he given code! Seems like no-one speaks English! simple questions could not be answers. Everyone I tried to communicate with did not speak English or refused to do so!!! Even the local McDonald. with a menu in English didn't know what sweet and sour sauce is!!!!!

Positive: Perfect size for 4 people. Lovely main bed. Peaceful location. Great bar about 100 yards away.

Negative: The bunk beds were really noisy. My 12 year old son ended up having to sleep on the 2-seater sofa because the bed squeaked every time he moved a limb.
