Summary: The hotel is beautiful and all the staff took great care of us while we were there. They serve incredible local food for breakfast and lunch and the Manager Felipe helped organised our visits everyday around Trancoso. We would dedinitely go back

Summary: My husband and I loved our stay at Etnia! The hotel is great - beautiful place, very close to the Quadrado and beach, and incredibly friendly staff. They helped us with reservations at the beach and with restaurants in town. So sad to leave, but we hope to be back soon!

Summary: First of all Trancoso has now become my favorite place on earth and I would recommend anyone to go there. You can't find a more picturesque and beautiful place! As for Etnia I would also recommend this lovely hotel. The room was a little bungalow with it's on balcony which was absolutely amazing. Spacious, clean and really rustic nice design. The pool area is also amazing and is where they serve the breakfast. Overall this is just a brilliant, tranquil and beautiful place to stay. On the very picky side I have to say that the breakfast could have included a better selection. Due to the fact that breakfast is served outside, it's was a lot of flies around the food and the fruit wasn't as fresh as you'd expect. Might also be on the very pick part but for a 4-star hotel we were also expecting a duvet and proper bedding (I know it's super hot in Brazil but I need it). Unfortunately, we had much comfier beds in 3-star hotels earlier on our trip but that's the only downside for Etnia.

Summary: Trancoso is a fabulous location in Bahia and the Etnia Pousada is very conveniently located a 2 minutes walk from the Quadrado and about 15 mins from the nearest beach. The cottages are very comfortable with a lovely pool and communal area where an excellent breakfast is served. The nicest cottages have a view of the pool. The staff were very helpful and the standard of housekeeping was very high. we had a most relaxing break.
