Koru Lodge is a newly rebuilt luxury home sits adjacent to miles of National Forest with stunning views. It offers the warmth and tranquility you and your loved ones have been looking for. Enjoy the comforts of a romantic home where you can sit in front of the fire and just gaze for hours enjoying the epic views. There is 2200 square feet of living space with the living room opening onto a 25x25 square foot deck to enjoy your morning coffee or during the evening where you can sit and enjoy a glass of wine as you watch the sun setting over the mountains. The jacuzzi on the deck offers mood lights and music at your beck and call. Stairs lead down from the deck into a large fenced yard where you will find gates that take you into the National Forest. The Great Room features large windows where you can relax and enjoy the sun light, cozy up and read a good book or just sit and become mesmerized by the magnificent setting. These are the days that create memories which last a lifetime.
The full kitchen at Koru Lodge faces views to the front of the home, a dining table which seats 8 and a granite island which faces the great room and the pool table. There are two bedrooms upstairs on the main living floor with one bathroom. One bedroom has a California King bed with a private deck which faces West to the National Forest and has a LCD TV. The second bedroom has a queen size bed with a LCD TV. The loft is off the main floor living where you will be able to view the stars as you fall into a deep slumber in your cozy queen size bed. The bathroom on the main living area is next to the master bedroom and has a two person slate shower and a double sink. The second bathroom is downstairs down the hall from the inviting 3rd bedroom. This bedroom has a queen size bed with a LCD TV. The bathroom downstairs has access to the laundry room, lower deck and to the back yard. This bathroom has a shower/bathtub combo and a double sink.
Each bed is outfitted with new furnishings and 600 count sheets.
Outside the gates of this incredible home is miles and miles of exploring for you and your family. Only a one mile hike away is Seneca Pond and if you are up for more of an adventure you can hike to Angora Lake which takes 2-3 hours round trip. During the winter you can cross country ski, snow shoe or go snowmobiling by just stepping out your back door. Heavenly Ski Resort, the casinos and Sierra At Tahoe Ski Resort are all 15 minute drives. The home is only 8 minutes to the Y downtown shopping, Meyers restaurants, grocery store, golf courses and the Tahoe Airport.
If you must work, bring your laptop as we have wireless access.
We have sleds and snowshoes available for you to enjoy during the winter season.
There is a two car garage and the driveway can park a large recreational vehicle or a boat.

Summary: This place is wonderful! It has everything you need, jacuzzi is close to the house, in the same level as the kitchen and living area. My family loves it! Is our first time staying at this house and probably will come back. The owner, Cathy is amazing ! She’s sweet, responsive and always trying to make our staying a great experience. What else to say? We just love it!!!

Summary: There was literally nothing to complain about with our house or our stay in Tahoe. The property backs up to NFS land, with trails right out the gate. The interior of the house was impeccable, form and function make for a wonderful cabin/lodge like feel. The bedrooms and bathrooms were great. The kitchen and living areas were in excellent shape and configuration. The location is nice and off the beaten path, so besides daytime construction next door, at night it was as quite and serene as you can imagine. We had plenty of towels and TP, and the washing machine and dryer were godsends as we got a bit dusty an sweaty hiking and such. The pictures on the website are not deceiving, and I am really sure that Cathy would have helped us with anything had we asked her. I could go on forever, but I shall end here. Thank you for an excellent stay Cathy and family. Cheers,

Summary: Cathy, the owner, checked in with us several times to make sure we were enjoying our stay- and we certainly have enjoyed it. We brought our grandkids so they could experience snow for the first time. They were captivated by seeing the falling snow through the picture windows. The jacuzzi on the deck was a hit as well. When we came in for the night, some of the kids played pool together while others played board games on the large dining room table. The open space concept allowed us all to be “together “ even though we were doing different activities. During the daytime , the kids built two Snowmen, went walking on snowshoes, and went tubing! No one was bored! The teens enjoyed shopping at Heavenly Village - and we have more sweatshirts to add to the closet! Because the home was so roomy, we were able to eat most all Our meals at home, which saved a lot of Money. Every one slept well - the beds are very nice and the two-person shower was a hit! We are already discussing when we might be able to come back for another visit!!

Summary: This house is more beautiful than the pictures. The views are amazing!! I’m impressed with how organized and fully equipped the kitchen is. As an owner of a cleaning service company, it’s very important to me that the house is sparkling cleaned, and this house passed the test. I can only say excellent things about this house. Not to mention that the owners are very sweet and responsive. They did everything to make sure that we were happy and enjoyed our stay. Definitely we are coming back many times. Summary: We had a wonderful stay with our 3 kids age 6, 14, and 18. Plenty of room to spread out in the home. We all enjoyed playing pool, 'sled-hill', hot tub, cooking/grilling, watching DVD movies from Red Box in town at Raley's, and dining out at The Beacon, Samurai Sushi, & Lake Tahoe Pizza Co. Also enjoyed Snow skiing at Sierra at Tahoe and ice skating at Heavenly Village Ice Rink. ALL of these activities within 15 minutes!! Very quiet neighborhood, only saw a couple cars go by each day. Enjoyed watching the bunny rabbit in the backyard. Great washer & dryer for easy laundry chores. Internet speed was excellent. Driveway is well paved and clean -- easy access to the house. All the amenities you would need for cooking are there. Beds and furniture were comfortable (not worn down like some other rentals we've stayed at). Large bedrooms and closets -- lots of room to unpack your stuff. It was everything we had hoped it would be!
