Positive: Beautiful characterful old cottage, peaceful location, nice garden, comfortable clean beds and lovely clean large towels. Handy for shops, pubs and chip shop! Friendly and helpful host.
Negative: Would have been nice to have a little washing up liquid, empty bottle and a filthy sponge left by sink ..wall lamps in lounge need a clean, as did some of the glasses. Some of the mats need replacing. A hand rail for stairs would be helpful. The ‘twin’ room is only big enough for a single bed really.
Summary: A pleasant and convenient base for 5 of us for a short stay.

Positive: Location was good for what we wanted to do. Beds and seating areas were comfortable. Helpful host when we were able to get hold of him, who explained how things worked and put the heating on.
Negative: Cleanliness - dust and debris under beds, on fire extinguishers, filthy oven. Temperamental hot water supply. Heating wasn’t on when we arrived.
Summary: We enjoyed our stay but attention to detail could be better

Positive: We knew exactly what to expect from this lovely cottage based on the pictures and reviews. We celebrated my mothers in law birthday in this cottage. She loves everything English (we’re from The Netherlands) so she was absolutely in love with the place! The kitchen was well ecquipped and Tim was very kind to sort out the coffee situation for us as coffee drinkers! Also a fair price/quality ratio for the cottage in comparison to other places in the same area... If you want to travel to a quirky but peaceful cottage, this is the place to visit.
Negative: We knew about the hot water ‘situation’ in the bathroom. Not ideal but we were prepared. Also, for the elderly the cottage is not that accesible.
Summary: Thanks Tim for our loveley visit!

Positive: The age and authenticity of the cottage
Negative: It is in need of updating in places but still keeping its charm but this didn’t distract from how much we enjoyed it x
Summary: Exactly what we wanted but in need of a little tlc in places

Positive: Accomodation was picked for closeness to wedding venue, was perfect. The cottage is a lovely old thatched cottage, we enjoyed the experience. The host was very helpful and informative
Negative: The stairs are precarious, the property did not have the central heating on, there were oil radiators, which we used and took the chill off, but we could have done with more heat.
Summary: Quirky cottage
