Positive: Encanto Lodge was secluded yet full of life. It was amazing being able to immerse ourselves into the jungle and observe so many different species in their natural habitats. They had complimentary canoes available to borrow and take out on the rivers and to the beach. The Lodge itself was very comfortable with warm water shower and a nice hammock outside. We didn’t have AC but the fan was enough. We also borrowed rubber boots from the hosts who were very nice. We had breakfast and dinner every day of our stay and the food was always amazing. We were right next to airport making it easy to get picked up and dropped off. Encanto also drove us to town (20-30 min drive) for the Corcovado Sirena Station and Cano Island Snorkeling tours. We also did the night tour with Edu on our first night and couldn’t recommend it enough! The sunsets were beautiful looking out to the beach from a view spot. If you want to mingle with the locals and have a more personal experience definitely book Encanto Lodge.
Negative: Nothing, we had a lovely stay with Edu & Sabrina as wonderful hosts.

Positive: Edu and Sabrina were incredible hosts at Encanto Lodge. The lodge is a short walk from the airport, but they offered to pick us up. The property is stunning, and you can see the beach from the restaurant. If wildlife is the reason you are in the Osa peninsula, you must consider this place. Birds, amphibians and reptiles were everywhere. Edu even mentioned that he has seen ocelots and jagarundi by the restaurant. We took a canoe into the river free of charge and the views were stunning. The dinner was reasonable priced and absolutely delicious. Edu was kind enough to give us a ride to our next destination free of charge and it was 30 minutes away. This demonstrates his commitment to creating a welcoming stay. My partner and I both wished we could have stayed longer.

Positive: Out of this world! Sabrina and Edu are the most attentive, friendly and accomodating hosts. The room on stilts on their land was very comfortable, from which we could hear and see the wildlife. Rowing out onto the lagoon and to the beach was a great experience. Wonderful fresh meals overlooking the lagoon and sea at sunset were magical. We'd recommend staying without hesitation. Thank you.

Positive: Amazing stay. Would have stayed more nights if we could. The hosts were super accommodating and friendly, food was delicious and the lodge is stunning. We took out a paddle out on the canoe when we got there and there were some incredible views, we even got to see White faced monkeys!
Negative: Only had one night there.

Positive: I really loved my stay here. The hosts are incredibly sweet and helpful, and they genuinely make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. All the breakfasts and dinners were really, really good. I would absolutely recommend future guests to have dinner at the hotel — and if you have time, lunch as well, because that’s also excellent. Having dinner while watching the sunset is something special: it’s such a cute, peaceful setting. The property itself is huge and beautiful. You have access to kayaking, and during your stay you can see monkeys of different kinds, crocodiles, caimans, and so many birds. It truly feels like you have a little piece of the world all to yourself when you’re here. And as a bonus, there’s always a hike just around the corner — literally. A perfect place if you love nature, good food, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere

Positive: The location is incredibly beautiful and full of nature. We stayed in the Tapir Cabina, which was extremely private and quiet, with a really nice patio and useful outdoor kitchen. The proprietors are extremely helpful, friendly, professional, creating a wonderful environment. Taking the rowboat through the lagoon to the beautiful quiet beach was a real highlight, along with very pleasant ocean swimming. Highly recommended!
Negative: The showers are a bit low pressure but warm; however it's not too big of a deal since it's hot there:)
Summary: Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer!

Negative: We ha spent the night before in Coronado Park and were hoping for air-conditioning. There was a fan, not zircon.

Positive: I loved Encanto lodge! The hosts Edu and Sabrina are amazing and go out of their way to make your stay special - we felt more like family visiting than paying tourists! Food was home-cooked, delicious and fresh! The location is incredible - you're in the jungle and can take a row boat right from the property to go wildlife spotting on the estuary. Edu and Sabrina can also help with all the arrangements to visit Cano Island and Corcovado which made the whole stay so smooth and stress-free. I loved how remote the lodge is and that it only has a few cabins, making it also very private. Wondrous experience!
Negative: Would be nice for the shower to have a "shower head" as its just a pipe with large stream. It was a little difficult to adapt to not having A/C - but honestly this was part of the immersive experience!

Negative: Its remote. Great for a one or two day stay.
