Positive: The property is in a beautiful location. Everything is thought out, including plenty of coffee. The mattress was very comfortable. The host was very responsive and gave us a lot of additional instructions on where to find features of the village.

Summary: This was a magical village that felt lost in time. I would definitely stay at Encanto again if I find my way there.

Positive: Very comfortable and cute little house in the middle of Piodao. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking. The beds are comfortable and the area very quiet for a nice sleep. The house was very clean and smelling fresh when we arrived. Nice hikes and restaurants around the area. Lots of stairs to get to the house so keep that in mind if someone in your party is physically challenged. Will definitely stay again!

Positive: The location and views are great and the apartment is well equipped but not well maintained. If you like dark cluttered apartments with old furniture and plastic plants, this is the place for you. Luckily we had excellent weather and were able to spend most of our time outdoors.

Negative: Communication with the owner was terrible. We were provided with no written information about how to reach the apartment (parking below the village and dragging luggage up many steep steps and cobbled alleys). Despite the message that we would be “welcomed” at the apartment, when we called for help the owner was not even in the vicinity! It turned out that all communication with her is by text and YouTube video. After finally locating the apartment we discovered there was no hot water for showers and called the owner, who sent a cleaner to come over and change the gas canister. It was not a pleasant way to start a holiday.

Positive: We arrived in Piódão after dark, but with the help of the short guiding video, we easily found the house. The house is very close to the excellent restaurant O Fontinha. The house is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Kitchen, dishes, stove, spices, cooking equipment (although we didn’t use the most of it), gas heater for the water, coffee machine, TV, internet 🛜, games, and probably more than I can remember. The house was clean and cozy, providing a really comfortable stay. The view from the house is stunning. Highly recommended place to stay!

Negative: Room for improvement...The entry door has a digital key pad...It's hit or miss on getting in...The power set up is not optimal to run various appliances like space heaters and etc...Hot water needs to be adjusted for shower...Not hot enough...
