Positive: Peaceful location, great for walks. Comfortable cottage with everything you could need with one exception. Overall we had a great time and would be a great stay at almost all times of the year.

Negative: I think we were unlucky with the weather, being 38 degrees one day and very slow to cool overnight (although always cool by the morning). Unfortunately with only fans in the cottage this meant a sweltering night. I suspect that usually the temperature normally cools quicker, But a portable A/C would be a worthwhile addition, potential only put out when the forecast says the temperature is going to be high. Also (and maybe its not possible with the way the windows are) but fly mesh on the windows so that you can open them up with the lights on would be useful.
