Summary: No. The Inn is one hour drive from Bar Harbor. The Inn was pleasant and I enjoyed talking with the owner. Iwould recommend it.

Summary: Elsa's Inn was a very clean and pleasant stay and I would definitely return. Gail was very welcoming and pleasant to speak to as she shared information in regard to the surrounding area as well as the places to go see and things to do. The breakfasts served daily are gourmet quality and delicious. The Inn's location puts you about 1hr and 10 minutes from the Bar Harbor / Acadia area but with the scenery on the way to said locations you will not have an issue with the distance, especially in the fall with the beautiful foliage. It does get really quiet at night so you are able to simply relax and unwind. The rooms were super clean and they take you back in time, loved it!

Summary: Elsa's is still our favorite place to stay in the Prospect/Winter Harbor area. It's a cozy, comfortable and quiet Inn, with thoughtful and friendly hosts. The breakfast is reliably delicious. And its just a short drive from artists and their galleries and the Schoodic Penninsula area, which is both beautiful and awesome.

Summary: Cobwebs in corners of room and outside lights very bright so not dark in room at all. Shade is needed on bathroom window as you can see in and out no problem.

Summary: Warm and knowledgeable hostess. Personally welcomed each guest and showed us to our rooms. Breakfast served between 0800-0830 so we missed it both days as we had already left for adventures at Acadia National Park which is slightly over an hour away. Smelled delicious. Recommended local restaurants with good food. View was beautiful, room was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again and plan to enjoy breakfast and more conversations.

Summary: Very clean and comfortable. Gail was our precious hostess. She had a full house by herself. Her daughter was out of town. But she handled everything wonderfully. Provided a delicious breakfast 2 mornings we were there. Beautiful Inn with Prospect Bay right across the street. The only thing I would suggest is working on the landscaping a bit.

Summary: Elsa’s was a perfect place to rest and get away from the the crowds in Bar Harbor. The rooms and inn were kept up with care. Our host was amazing he made some of the best stuffed French toast I have ever had. The location was perfect to see the northern part of Acadia natl park, it was nice to have its so close and away from the crowds. The beds were soft and comfy and the harbor across the street was beautiful looking out from our room. Wonderfull place to stay and I would only stay at Elsa’s for any return visit!
