Summary: It was going to be our first trip to Crete.We were sceptical at first when we read the reviews, could anywhere be that good ? but we can confirm, YES Wow ! Wow ! Wow ! A-MAZ-ING.Well done Elpidis you are a star. The Breakfasts are fantastic and not to be missed. Your host Elpidis attention to detail is second to none and that's what makes the breakfasts a personal experience. His personal touch and friendship extends to every aspect of your stay. Willing to offer help and advice 24hrs a day. The rooms are immaculate , and this extends to the outside too. The pool is crystal clear and the grounds are spotless and well maintained. And not to be missed is the barbeque night, at which we had a great time meeting his family and the other guests , fabulous Idea by our host ! All in all a great place to stay with an authentic Greek atmosphere and that personal touch. We highly recommend it for couples of all ages .And its ideally placed to visit all the other places of interest in the south of the island.

Summary: The B&B is sort of a hotel, but the the 2:00 pm check in time is firm because of the owner's schedule. The modern building is beautifully finished, comfortable, and absolutely spotless. The owner/operator is very solicitous about his guests and clearly takes great pride in his establishment. The location is about 5 minutes from a beautiful cobble beach with good swimming, in among some small farms. Very quiet. Nice tavernas at the beach. Easy parking. The building is a bit tricky to find, so look at GoogleMaps for the location, and follow the small hotel signs by the approach roads.

Summary: This is a very good base for the beaches in the south of Crete. The owner and host is excellent, providing an excellent level of service and attention to detail with a personal touch little matched elsewhere. From the breakfast, which is individually prepared, to the personal interaction and laid back approach, it all lends itself to a relaxing holiday. The villa was recently built, and to a very high standard. It's an easy walk to the local beach, but I had hired a car and was interested in experiencing several of the local beaches. There are several within an easy drive of the villa, although some of the Cretan roads provide an element of excitement. With only a week on the island I wished I'd had more time to simply stay at the villa and spend the day round the pool.

Summary: We have just returned from a glorious fortnight where we experienced Cretan hospitality at its best. Elpidis villa is family run and provides fantastic value for money as well as first class accommodation and attention. Standards in cleanliness were superb and breakfasts were very varied, consisting of the freshest local produce. The finish of this new property is of the highest quality and this all added to create Trily memorable experience. The location was just what we wanted being quiet, safe and not commercialised but offering a good range of tavernas where the standard of food was excellent and very good value for money. Having eaten in 10 of the tavernas, all provided excellent quality and staff are very helpful and friendly. Each taverna is responsible for a section of beach. They provide sunbeds and umbrellas for free as well as waiter service direct to your sunbed if you should so require. We would recommend that you hire a car in order to best enjoy this part of Southern Crete.
