Summary: We enjoyed our stay. Would return. Beds were really comfortable and it was nice being close to the river.

Summary: I was looking for a rustic and quiet place to stay for one night after a hectic driving schedule. Elk Lodge fit the bill, Room was clean and quiet. I arrived late in the evening (well after office hours) and my room key was waiting for me when I arrived. Kudos ! The later 11 a.m. checkout was helpful as I was able to go to breakfast in town before checkout. Downside was the office did not pick up the phone during office hours and never did call me to assure me a room and key would be available when I arrived around midnight. The dog in the office made me feel right at home. Made my day petting him on morning before my checkout. I'd stay here again and hope for easier logistics on arrival.

Summary: I asked for a cabin n got a hotel room. Not good! Not clean at all. No A/C, no privacy.

Summary: Clean cute little river resort in the old style. Shady riverside place, screen door and open windows worked well for cooling on a warm June evening. Not a modern business center but if you want to relax or take a walk along the river or birdwatching this is a wonderful little gem.

Summary: There was a bat in the room when we arrived which made it uncomfortable and I didn’t want to stay in that roomthe clerk at the front desk and got me a room next-door right away

Summary: Great place to rest and a wonderful location!
Sandra Jul 12, 2026 08:56:31 PM
Summary: Water in tub stayed running all the time we were there hot water
Kitty Jul 12, 2026 03:45:28 AM
Summary: Lovely location and proximity to the river was great. Bed was uncomfortable and the fitted sheet wouldn't stay on the mattress well. No "to code" outlet in the bathroom and the sink dripped badly. Mini-refrigerator froze half the food I placed in there even on the lowest setting. Ice machine had a Tupperware canister for the scoop.....very unsanitary. Great covered porch seating outside room and the room was actually really quiet even with other guests next door.
Joshua Jun 28, 2026 11:11:04 PM
Summary: Room had a musty smell which caused everything to have that same smell (sheets, towels).
Aaron Jun 20, 2026 09:56:03 AM
Summary: Only one electrical receptacle worked, extension cord, going across the floor right in front of the door -refrigerator did not work 90° outside nowhere air conditioning, had to leave door open because of the heat and screen door would not shut properly so bugs came in, not a very good night sleep.
