Positive: Strategic location! There’s a nearby Starbucks, 7-11, and cafe. Xihu MRT station is also near and would take you around 2 mins to walk. The room is cleaned every day. The staffs are nice. One of the receptionists is very helpful. She helped us to make a call and booking reservation for a new year buffet.

Positive: The location is perfect ! I was able to fully utilizing the MRT and other public transportation in Taipei. There are so many hidding gem(s) around that area. The Westlake city public library is the "must see" in compare with San Francisco's branch libraries. The "Second Floor Cafe" is right across the street, thumbs up all the way and the price was WTF low, LOL ! The hotel front desk personnel were very friendly and knowlegeble about the city in and out, and they were able to provide me with many tips for different "Night Markets" around the city, place(s) to see beside all the tourist spots. The house cleaning crew were also very friendly and provide very good cleaning services.

Negative: sound proofing could be improof. however, this is a 30+ years old hotel, and it does not have too many noisy customers. I had only encounter one night with noise next door.

Summary: Overall, I will give a 9 on the 1 to 10 scale level.

Positive: Staff is very helpful, location is close to Metro station. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby

Negative: Hotel facilities are old and really need a good uplift. The tile gaps around bath has black spots, seems to be mould stain. Shower head bracket is not proper. Wifi is very bad.

Positive: My stay was great and exceeded my expectations. It's not the most modern accommodation, but it was cozy and had everything I needed. The air conditioning was a bit too strong (too cold) even after I adjusted the temperature, so you might want to bring an extra blanket or jacket for the room. Overall, I had a pleasant stay.
