Positive: So clean. Larger than expected. Fabulous views. Catherine was just brilliant. Went out of her way to make sure we had dinner organised. Couldnt believe there was a breakfast box on both mornings for us......honestly this is definitely excellent value for money. 5 stars from us - thank you Catherine !

Positive: The view was stunning. I could have sat at the window all day! We liked that we had freedom to come and go as it suited us. We loved that the accommodation was immaculate, was fresh and had everything available that we would need. There were fresh fruit and snacks available as well as a beautiful breakfast basket. There were also facilities to make tea and coffee.

Negative: The signal for the TV can be a bit unpredictable but has to be expected in such a remote area. It wasn't a problem for us as we didn't use it much. The spiral staircase to access the rooms may be an issue for some but I'm sure contacting Catherine the host, arrangements could be made.

Positive: We received a very warm welcome from our host and were fully informed about the facilities available to us during our stay. Our room was beautifully appointed and the views were superb. Well lit in the carparking area for our return after dinner with a bright entrance doorway and hall leading to our room. We look forward to further stays at this property. As the surrounding areas offer super day trips in the car in all directions, it makes a perfect base with good dining options in Strathpeffer on your return.

Negative: The chairs in the room are comfortable but personally we would have liked a chair with arms.

Positive: The rate was without breakfast. But, in reality, there was plenty (if you are happy with continental style, of course), this was a pleasant aspect to the room amenities. The bathrobes provided were a nice touch, also the pod coffee, cola and treats.

Positive: Last minute booking, brilliant communication with Catherine, including clear & precise directions to reach property, and suggestions for dinner in Stathpeffer that evening. Separate guest entrance via lovely spiral staircase allowing us independent access. Within walking distance of the town square, easy parking on the property. Lots of thoughtful little extras including a grab n go breakfast basket

Negative: Lovely comfortable room with everything we needed (and more) for our overnight stay. Last minute booking, our room was located at the rear of the property so therefore lacked the amazing views mentioned in many of the reviews.
