Positive: Ecrin de Verdure would not suit everybody. We liked it because of the location and the calmness. There are no meals and you self-cater. The area is delightful. Pleasant grounds in the heart of the country. There is a small supermarket half a mile away where you can buy all the provisions you need.

Negative: Nothing. We loved it and understood there would be no meals prior to arriving.

Summary: A great place for a short break if you are happy to self-cater.
