Positive: • Beautiful and peaceful setting on a private island with stunning view of Philae Temple • Great place for a one-night stay or a special dinner to enjoy the atmosphere • Fresh, tasty meals made to order • Comfortable bedding • Smiling and welcoming team • Smooth check-in/out • Pleasant and well-maintained complex given the remote location

Negative: • Restaurant service is very slow even with no other guests. Staff lacked attentiveness; had to help myself at times • Room did not match the balcony description (no balcony or large window, it’s a terrace under full sun) • No AC despite extreme heat, 46°C during the day and 35° during the night at the time • Bathroom was clean but basic and not shown in booking photos • No WiFi access despite being given a password • Water and electricity were cut off several times • Extra boat trips cost 100 EGP each — not clearly mentioned beforehand • Not a true eco site despite the label (plastic used, no sustainable systems) • Pricing does not reflect the level of comfort or infrastructure • Concept of the place is unclear(not luxury, not really eco)

Positive: If you are coming to Aswan for the Temple of Isis, Philae, this hotel is the best location. You are directly across from the temple at Bigeh Island, so much so that you can even listen and watch the light show from the outdoor deck at dinner. Its a beautiful, eco hotel that is close to nature and rich in Nubian culture. The food is wonderful at the restaurant - just note you may need to order an hour in advance for some dishes as they cook very traditional tagines in a special oven.

Negative: If you need air-conditioning in your hotel room, this may not be the place for you. We were there in May and I was fine by opening the bedroom windows and putting the fan on, but it was starting to get hot!

Positive: The location is absolutely incredible. Views of the Isis Temple at Philae over dinner. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Its a gorgeous hotel.

Negative: There is no air conditioning so just be mindful of that. We were there in mid-May and slept with the windows open and fan on and it was fine.

Positive: Location was absolutely stunning. Food was incredible and service was great. They have a small beach area to access the water by stairs. On a hot day plunging into the Nile was exactly what we needed. Plus I get to check off a childhood dream. Also can’t beat the views, Sunset and Philae Temple
