Summary: This hotel is struggling...we stay here all the time (about 5-6 times per year) because it has bedrooms and we have several kids but over time it's just deteriorating. The halls are stained, the pool stairs/floor/surface is covered in a slimy film, the rooms either have 1 HVAC system not working (so cold air only comes out of 1 bedroom which is freezing while the rest are hot) or flickering lights. The bathrooms smell and ours kept filling with cigarette smoke during this last trip (to their credit, they said they would send security to investigate who was smoking but despite that every day around dinner time the same thing would happen). They recently decided to increase their earning potential by building out great cabanas by the pool at the expense of pool chairs for hotel guests - but those are only $499 on ResortPass and not available to hotel guests, and now there are not enough chairs for hotel guests. They also cater to that crowd now so the pool deck is too loud for kids with a DJ blaring music til 11pm every day (not just weekends). I don't know what to do with this hotel anymore...the layout suits us but clearly they take their guests for granted. We actually wanted to stay for a whole month this time prior to arriving so I called 4 times wanting to speak to a manager about monthly rates and left my name and number. Think I ever got a call back? Nope. They don't care about their guests and the hotel is aging really quickly. Unfortunately we'll probably be back.

Summary: The hotel is well located in Brickell, right above the Brickell City Centre, which is super convenient—you can access the mall directly from the hotel. Rooms are spacious, and the rooftop bar (Sugar) is a definite highlight. That said, the rooms and some facilities are starting to feel a bit dated. It’s clear the hotel isn’t brand new anymore, and maintenance could be better. Service is not bad, but it doesn’t reach five-star standards either. Overall, with a good rate, it’s still worth it for the location and convenience—but don’t expect a true five-star experience.
