Positive: This cottage is very quaint and cozy. It is well done out with great finishing touches. It is in a lovely setting ideally place just outside Hawes. We really enjoyed using the open fire and the host had left wood for us to burn. They had thoughtfully left us some local cheese and fruit cake. The check in was simple as there is a key box on the door. It was great to have a parking space just outside. We enjoyed a lot of walks and waterfalls around the area as well as exploring Hawes. It is a place I would definitely stay again.

Negative: As we arrived after dark it would have been helpful to have an outside light over the door. The 10am check out was too early and it would have suited us much better to have an 11am one. Whilst there was milk and coffee there was no teabags and it would have been cuppa on arrival.

Positive: The location was wonderful – the cottage is nestled in a very quiet village 20 minutes walk from Hawes and has everything you could need for your stay. There are lots of lovely walks on the doorstep too.

Positive: A beautiful cottage. Had everything we needed. Spacious, very comfortable and quite simply a perfect place to stay. The bedding and soft furnishings were so lovely. Great attention to detail. Able to drive the car to the door. We were delighted with everything. High quality appliances. Great having two bathrooms too! We would not hesitate to recommend East Cottage. It was great to have fruit cake and Wensleydale cheese waiting for our arrival! The garden was very pretty and we enjoyed sitting out. Thank you for providing a wonderful, special place.

Negative: Nothing. We have stayed in many places and this is certainly one of the best.
