Positive: Breakfast not available,but the facility to make it is available,although a microwave may be more practical than air fryer.Must say our intention was always to experience food outlets in Ventnor.On all other levels of hospitality EastDene is amazing.Important to see and feel the experience on offer.Kelly and team have their hands full but what a start they have made.Cannot speak more highly of the achievement that has been made.Fabulous!

Negative: Bath mat I think would be useful!

Positive: The property was very clean, comfortable and in a lovely peaceful location. The surroundings were beautiful and it felt very relaxing. The staff were friendly and everything was well organised, which made the stay very enjoyable.

Negative: There wasn’t much to dislike. The stay was quite short so we didn’t get enough time to fully explore the property and surrounding area.

Summary: A lovely, peaceful stay in a beautiful location and I would happily visit again.

Positive: Absolutely amazing place! It exceeded our expectations! The whole place breaths history. It was renovated with huge care and respect for the building and it's history. Kelly (the owner) was very kind and helpful, going out of her way to make us comfortable. We didn't even mind the awefull weather we had. Definitely coming back!

The Ambience & Grounds: The 1824 manor exudes character from the moment you drive through the gates. Accommodation: We stayed in the "Denea Suite," which featured a four-poster bed, plush linen, and a spacious en-suite bathroom with fantastic water pressure and a roll-top bath. The room offered a wonderful sea view. It was spotlessly clean, well-heated, and thoughtfully equipped with complimentary tea/coffee, free Wi-Fi, and lovely touches such as chocolates, wine, and roses. As it was Valentine's Service: The custodian (owner) and staff were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make us all feel welcome, including Sherlock our 🐕‍🦺 We left feeling completely relaxed and already planning our return. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a special getaway.

Positive: Beautifully restored. Stylish and had everything we could have wanted. Two beautiful bedrooms and spacious bathrooms. And the butler’s kitchen was a particular delight - as was our host. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

Positive: Absolutely everything! The warm welcome (even for our fur daughter!), the friendly chats and suggestions with us being new the the island and area, how spacious and comfy the suite was, it felt like a retreat for us coming from Ldn. Kelly and team have done an extraordinary job refurbishing and maintaining the estate and its surroundings. Brand new facilities, lush gardens with a path to Monks Bay and Horseshoe Bay. We decided to have a movie night in one night, with the weather being dreadful outside, and they set up the fireplace & left blankets out for us in one of their fabulous lounges on the ground floor - it was the cosiest we've felt in years. It was an amazing experience from start to end and cannot recommend it more. We'll definitely be heading back that way the next chance we get.
