Positive: New place, comfortable room. In a nice location of Colombo. It was a good place to start my trip in Sri Lanka. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Positive: The staff here are absolutely fabulous! Nothing but compliments. Overall a great experience staying at Dutch Heritage. Comfy rooms, great location, and great facilities.

Negative: Id recommend moving the fusball table as at night when people play it reverberates up the stairs and is very loud for people trying to sleep in their rooms. Other than that, I've very much enjoyed my stay.

Positive: I wanted to be able to give a great review about this hotel as the staff are amazing. They are really friendly, helpful, great with communication and always willing to assist or advise. If I could rate the hotel purely on it's staff then it would be 10/10. However I have to be honest with the review and also mention the negative things.

Negative: The hotel rooms suffer from noise. At the front there is noise from construction. At the back there is noise from a nightclub. The hotel is new but the sound insulation from the windows is non existent. I changed rooms to escape the construction noise and had nightclub noise instead. The lack of noise insulation from the windows meant it sounded like the builders and nightclub were in my room. The pillows in the room are much too big and hard. There are 4 pillows and all 4 are the same. They should have 2 firm and 2 soft pillows. As it was I ended up not using the pillows because they are so uncomfortable. I used a small cushion instead. On my second night there was a workman in the hall fixing something for over an hour. This was around 8/9pm at night. As well as putting up with his hammering he kept talking to someone on his phone very loudly which also sounded like he was outside my door because it was so loud. Then at about 11pm I could hear more hammering from underneath my room for about 30 minutes. I understand that hotels need maintenance but not at night time! It's a shame as I really wanted to like this hotel as the location and staff are amazing. I also know that the things I did not like were not in the control of the staff. The staff were amazing but unfortunately because of all the other bad things, I would not stay here again on a future trip to Colombo.
