Positive: You need to be a little bit of a dare devil if you want to book this amazing resort. The location is just on the edge of a nature reserve and it takes some courage to get there. But once up at the resort the site is marvelous, and the accommodation overwhelming and really rural. We booked a fairly new lodge another 20 meter uphill, accessible by concrete steps with excellent view on the pool the nature and the beautiful hotel. The large wooden lodge with a concrete bathroom is very nice, well equipped with a large balcony and indeed gives the idea that you're lodging inside the jungle. Also the breakfast is great and more than abundant! BTW a jungle experience is also offered for those not afraid of leeches!

Negative: The guts are in getting to the resort. There is a one way entrance from the highway, but the challenge is get up to the resort. The first part of the route crosses a building area of, what once should become a high speed railway connection between KL and Kota Bharu, but is now (temporarily) abandoned. Then the next part is a rather narrow bush path, and once crossed the fence of the nature reserve a good concrete but steep path upward. Along the road, with is a few kilometers, one is now and then supported by sings that you're still on the right track (luckily).
