Summary: Dungowan Estate is an exceptional location to celebrate a special event. We celebrated my husbands 40th birthday and we had adults and kids in attendance. Dungowan Estate had thought of everything you need whilst at the property. From the extensive outdoor facilities to the well stocked kitchen and everything else in between. Deanna the property manager was quick to respond and accommodated all our requests. My only recommendation would be to have guests arrive during daylight hours. Our guests who came in after sunset found it challenging to locate the property even with the comprehensive directions. This was due to no street lights on country roads. I would highly recommend Dungowan Estate and would not hesitate to stay again! We loved it!

Summary: The place is incredibly luxe. The grounds are beautiful and the house is very well appointed. Deanna was amazing - helpful and responsive. There are two things that interacted to ensure that I could never truly relax. 1. The check-in information comes with a long price list for breakable items and infractions. The list is extensive but 'not exhaustive'. There was a stated charge for furniture being out of place or regrouting the kitchen floor due to spillage. Everything on the list must have happened at one point, but it was hanging over my head the entire time, and felt like a policeman to my friends. I was afraid an already expensive stay was going to become even more so at a whim. I feel this could better described to avoid how I felt. 2. A small amount of the furniture (and by this I almost exclusively mean big luxurious armchairs) was in pretty rough condition. Mostly springs having burst out of the bottom of them. They were still out in the living spaces, clearly meaning that we were supposed to use them. But this actually created a problem when paired with point 1 - you can't leave a house in perfect condition if things are not in perfect condition to start with. It meant I was never sure what Deanna was going to consider damage caused by us, what with the constant flow of guests. Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

Summary: We had a reunion of 4 generations of women in our family. We loved the luxurious home isolated on an amazing property. The kitchen was abundantly stocked with pots, pans, ovens etc to cook up a storm each night. The home was wonderfully warm and we enjoyed the fire place during August. The host was quick at replying to messages. Can’t go wrong choosing this home for a gathering!

Summary: Fantastic venue for an extended family getaway. Lots of fun surprises in this Italianate mansion in the middle of nowhere. From the dungeon games room to the outdoor fireplaces the atmosphere was geared to a relaxed comfortable stay.
