Positive: This was our second time staying at Dungbettle river lodge. The property manager and owner are both very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is really good, the room is clean, bed comfortable. Love the availability of the braai in the courtyard and the canoes to explore the rivers even though we didn’t use it this time as it was extremely cold outside. The views from our room and the breakfast porch are spectacular. Dungbettle will remain part of our future travel through the area.

Positive: Lovely lodge in beautiful surroundings. Etta and her husband were so welcoming and helpful with local recommendations. We only stayed one night but wish we’d have stayed longer as there is so much to do in the area! Breakfast was delicious.

Positive: We stayed at the lodge as a base to go and explore Addo Park and we had a great experience. We had a lodge to ourselves which had everything we needed, and the service was fantastic. The location is also great for going to Addo - really a couple of minutes away from the south entrance and 45 minutes from the main camp. We would also recommend a visit to the nearby sand dunes - they were fantastic!
