Positive: The owners created a beautiful piece of paradise here. Such a gorgeous place! The pool area and the garden with a numbers of species of trees are really stunning. The local staff is very friendly and polite. We received a very warm welcome by the owners with delicious juice. We enjoyed a good massage by the pool and the food was tasty. The warm shower offered (since the water in our bathroom was cold) on the second day was much appreciated. We had a lovely time relaxing by the pool and eventually got used to the little insects (due to nearby farming). The kids loved the toys and slide. Very sweet dogs live on the premises.

Negative: -Some things could have been communicated better; e.g. we would have liked to know in advance that for the cottage, the bathroom is fully outside, including the toilet, and can only be reached by going outside first. Moreover, the shower does not have warm water. I wouldn’t have booked this if I had known in advance. - The ‘bed’ was two mattresses on stone with one pillow per person and thin sheets. Very basic. - Dolphin tour is pricier than offered by other operators and in fact advertised in the activities flyer of the hotel (about USD 50 higher in price), but we enjoyed it a lot! -The food was tasty, but for a vegetarian the offering was a bit disappointing (on the first night they served pasta with some sautéed potatoes as the vegetable dish). -Don’t expect yoga classes on the roof (as advertised on TripAdvisor). - Smoking is allowed in the restaurant which is considered an “outside” place because it has no windows (but is part of the building and has doors and a roof). This meant that, even while we were with young children and still eating, other guests would vape and smoke around us, also during breakfast… The owner offered us to sit ‘inside’ which is the reception area, which was kind but not a solution. They should definitely consider banning smoking in their restaurant. - We expected to be able to pay by card, as stated in their own T&C’s, but were asked to pay by cash. Since the owner wasn’t around, they could offer a bank transfer either. Instead we were asked to take a tuk tuk (at our own costs) to town for an ATM. - The owners live here and are visible but don’t seem to be fully involved in management. Small things like the staff not understanding what we ask for, or putting cold dishes on the table, could be addressed in case of more presence by the owners to keep an eye and train their staff, especially if their (kind and capable!) manager isn’t around either.

Positive: We loved everything here in this extraordinary towered hotel with only the sound of waving palms, exotic birds, and the nearby sea. Exceptionally kind staff who go the extra mile- on my birthday carrying a table, flowers food and wine to the roof for a special meal, the owner went out to miraculously locate a birthday cake and some wine. Room and bathroom very spacious with huge windows. The big pool a great bonus, with loungers for good reading, all very quiet. The sea only a 6 minute walk, warm, soft sand and completely deserted. We saw jumping dolphins, and turtles laying eggs nearby. Lovely area to walk on lanes by small farms, villagers very friendly, no tourists seen. Would love to return, it’ll always be with us, one of the best ever.

Negative: Nothing to dislike!

Positive: Charming 15 bed property close to beach with lovely shallow pool, set in attractive garden. We had a room with good view and big comfortable bed. Food is excellent and fairly priced

Negative: Poor access as Road very rough. Difficult to get transport leaving you at the mercy of the property! Water pressure poor in upstairs rooms

Positive: Dune Towers was a genuinely pleasant surprise. Communication with the owner was super easy, and he arranged our airport pickup without any hassle, which made the arrival really smooth. We stayed in the Luxury Double Room with A/C, bathroom and terrace, and it was exactly what we needed — clean, comfortable and with a nice relaxed vibe. The pool area quickly became our favourite spot. The slide is fun, and the swing bed by the water is honestly the perfect place to switch off for a while. The nearby beach is usually very quiet, so it often felt like we had it all to ourselves — a great place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The food was excellent every day, and I really appreciated that the chef was willing to prepare non-spicy dishes on request. And having Starlink internet was a big bonus — being able to watch Netflix in full HD after a long day was perfect. A huge highlight was that the owner also arranged a dolphin tour for us. It was absolutely amazing — we saw loads of dolphins and it’s definitely an experience worth doing.

Negative: Honestly, nothing comes to mind — everything worked out really well.

Summary: A little slice of paradise — peaceful, beautifully kept and with an amazing pool area that’s perfect for switching off.

Positive: Delicious vegan food, a very peaceful location: we were almost by ourselves. The staff are very attentive, and the pool is excellent. We would love to stay here again.

Negative: It was a bit expensive since we booked a double room just for the two of us. The property is a little remote, and while the beach is wonderfully quiet, unfortunately it had quite a lot of trash.
