Positive: We were visiting Malta for the first time from Ireland and we couldn’t have been more lucky and glad to have stayed in Duncan Guest House. Michael the owner made our stay so amazing. Honestly out of all the hotels and guests house I’ve stayed in across Europe, Duncan Guest house will top it all. Our stay was so comfortable, everything was so clean and the service was exceptional. Our room was left immaculate every day. The room was nice and quiet, the breakfast was lovely, the staff were incredibly friendly, and the location was perfect. Everything about this guest house is exceptional. Michael and both of his sons were so professional, welcoming, and always happy to help. Whenever we needed anything, they were there to accommodate us. We stayed for four nights and each night was so comfortable and amazing for us. When we visit Malta again we will definitely stay in Duncan Guest house. My family and I truly appreciate the wonderful hospitality that Duncan Guest House provided, which made our first trip to Malta so memorable.

Positive: Owner Michael could not have been more helpful. Room itself, indeed whole building, were of very high quality. Facilities excellent and breakfast extensive and appetising. Location great too: still working fishing village unspoilt by over-development, with extensive choice of restaurants within short walking distance

Negative: Nothing - apart from the fact that I had not realised how excellent the bus services were - to and from airport and the capital Valletta as well. (Could have saved myself the expense and swindle of hiring a car!) Oh, maybe a clearer sign over the door for finding the property in the dark. (Very minor moan, as Michael was there to greet us anyway!)

Positive: The rooms look like they are new, comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. The balcony overlooking the street was nice to sit out on. It was a minutes walk from the seafront. The owner was very friendly and helpful.

Negative: The WiFi didn’t work very well in our room. Although it was nice being so central it was a bit noisy early morning if you have the window open.

Positive: Everything was exceptional. The room was spacious and clean, with new towels every day. The breakfast was great, the rooftop area for eating is amazing. The location was also the best in Marsaxlokk. Staff very nice and helpful, they saved us from a fine and having our car towed. We couldn't wish for anything better for our stay :)

Positive: The stuff was really nice. We could check in very early. The breakfast was tasty. The view from the roof terrace was amazing. It wasn't expensive but we were there in the beginning of March.

Positive: I liked best that there was a human to interact with. Possibly other people like having access codes and "no contact" places to stay, but it is not my preference. Michael, the owner, was there to greet us, was there to answer questions and give us information about his town. Loved it! Also, because he's there, he takes pride in what he offers. His hospitality skills are great and he's proud of offering good accommodations at a reasonable price.
