Positive: We enjoyed staying at Duiker Lodge Villa. It’s beautiful, peaceful, and luxurious and was the perfect bush retreat. The main house has the main bedroom and three single beds, and there’s a second building with a queen-size bed and two single beds upstairs, plus its own bath, shower, and toilet – ideal for a couple or a family with small children. It’s a great spot for either a family getaway or a group of friends looking to escape into nature. The kitchen was really nice and well-equipped. The bathrooms were spacious and beautiful and the beds were comfortable. The private pool on the deck is for the villa guests only, and there’s also an outdoor boma and an indoor braai. The WiFi worked well for most of our stay, although it was a bit spotty when it rained. Please note – once you turn off the main road, there’s about a 10km dirt road to the entrance. Regular vehicles might struggle along this road, so an SUV or 4x4 is definitely the best option, especially when it rains. Overall, we had a memorable time and really enjoyed the villa and all its amenities. We’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful bush getaway.

Positive: Tranquility, spacious and serviced each day! Private pool. Well stocked with quality crockery, glassware and glasses! Indoor and outdoor bbq areas. Good communication regarding directions, check in etc. Excellent private game drive with Pierre along with picnic. Pierre has a passion for ‘the bush’ and conservation and was very informative.

Negative: Deeper cleaning required. No DSTV for the full duration of our stay which was disappointing as my elderly dad would’ve benefited from this due to the poor weather and his mobility limitations.

Summary: Escape to the bush and enjoy nature and tranquility!

Positive: The location is excellent for intentional unwinding. No network but their WiFi is excellent if you want to reach the world. It was scorching hot but the air conditioning makes the rooms so cool and relaxing. Rooms so clean towels too👌🏽the pool refreshing. Was nice cooking in their kitchen

Negative: They don't have solar energy as backup for electricity. And the running water is also dependent on the electricity.

Positive: The serene was pleasurable and nice.

Negative: the fridge was not working at all, the rooms where very hot and flies everywhere especially at night. The old White guy came to our house while we where preparing for our game drive we were naked he came through the other side of the pool didn't bother to knock started shouting at us because we were playing music from the TV. invasion of privacy. The pool chairs are broken and old . the paint needs a bit of refresh. towels are worn out buy towels. dining chairs are finished. the place needs a big of a refresh.

Positive: The place was exactly like we saw on the pictures. The host was very helpful in us getting there. We loved every moment that we got to spend at the Duiker lodge.

Negative: There were bugs but that is common in a place that isnt used on a daily basis.
