Positive: Good! There is a guitar and a pool table! The view is amazing and you can meet people as it is a place where tours usually stop.

Positive: Slept in my own cute little bungalow. Staff was very nice and helpful and the view in the morning was magnificent! The stay, the food and everything was really nice, even though a bit more on the basic/hostel"y" side.

Negative: The space in front of the bungalows could be used a bit better. It would be great to sit in front of them.

Positive: Lovely place, nice and friendly staff. Delicious breakfast and dinner. They have a cute puppy at the moment :)

Negative: Bit cold in winter time, but blanket do. Unfortunately stayed there with a big motorbike tour so the place was a bit noisy.

Positive: Em Monkey was a perfect host and went above and beyond to help us with any and everything we asked about. It was a pleasure to stay in his growing homestay compound and to meet his family. It's the people that make the place and we learned a lot and laughed a lot with Em Monkey who was once a tour guide himself. All of the meals served were delicious. The private rooms were a blessing toward the end of the loop. They had fans and different options for blankets depending on the weather. Highly recommend! It was much more peaceful than the party hostels we could hear a bit lower in the rice fields.

Negative: The road to get to the homestay is a bit trecherous (steep and rocky). Be sure to take the second driveway and I would recommend parking at the bottom and walking up if it's wet/dark or if you are a less experienced rider. Monkey will be happy to take your bike and down for you - as he did for us.
