Positive: We loved the location. The cottage was cosy, clean, spacious, comfortable and very well equipped. There were plenty of movies to watch and games to play. When we arrived, there were scones with jam and cream waiting for us. There's nothing better than a cup of tea after a long journey. What a lovely surprise! I have to mention the sofa, the softest I ever sat on. It's like sitting on a cloud! And the outside patio was just lovely. I just wish we had more time there. We'll definitely be back in the future. Many thanks to the hosts!

Positive: Location was perfect, peaceful and beautiful. It was a bonus to have a garage/shop and not far to a lovely eating pub. Tavistock was in easy reach and a lovely town to explore. The indoor market and small shops around it were so good with so many different things to buy, including a lovely cheese shop.

Negative: Nothing at all.

Summary: Drover’s Cottage was a beautiful place to find and feel at home in.

From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed—the hosts have clearly put so much thought and care into creating a warm, inviting space. The peaceful and picturesque setting made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The cottage itself is beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, and exceptionally well-equipped with everything you could possibly need—and more! It’s ideal for families, with plenty of space and thoughtful touches that make it great for children. The beds were super comfortable, ensuring we all got a great night’s sleep. A real highlight was being greeted with delicious homemade scones on arrival—such a thoughtful and much-appreciated gesture. Every detail, from the cozy furnishings to the well-stocked kitchen, made our stay effortless and enjoyable. The location is also fantastic for exploring Devon. It feels wonderfully tucked away, yet it’s close to everything—making day trips and sightseeing easy and convenient. We wouldn’t hesitate to return and will definitely be recommending Drovers Cottage to friends and family. A truly fantastic stay in a wonderful place!
