Travel Purpose: business

Positive: The breakfast was quite small but suited us well. The floating cabin was great - comfy and fun. It was great to get up in the night when it was raining and swim off the cabin in the warm water. The whole place had a kind of charm...a bit nostalgic. Great location. Very friendly staff, nice cafe.

Negative: Well, we went to Vastervik for dinner as the Gästgiveri closes at 20.00. This is a minor quibble.

Positive: Great location and concept. Being on the water was lovely and relaxing. The view was nice and the bed was very comfortable.

Negative: The price were hotel prices but the service was more like a campground. When we checked in we were not informed of the location of the bathrooms and showers. In the room there was a kettle to heat water but why no coffee or tea? It would have been a nice touch at no great expense. We rented a sauna which was great but for the price which was not cheap, an extra towel or a bathrobe would have made it seem like a good value. The breakfast was totally uninspiring and tasteless. The bread was stale, and the setup was unhygienic. There were no utensils to take food items and the cheese you had to hold with your hand to slice.

Summary: A pleas stay but lacking in service and facilities fot the price.
