Positive: Great Aussie breakfast. Different every day. Inn is a few minutes drive from Myoko Suginohara ski slopes, although you could ski there and walk from the inn to the slopes in a few minutes as well. This place makes you feel immediately at home. You get to know all the guests and breakfast and dinner are superb.

Negative: Rooms don't have attached bathrooms

Positive: Breakfast was very tasty each morning. And every day was different. The ingredients are fresh. The hosts were very accommodating with guests who were traveling to other resorts and served breakfast earlier. It's located off of one of the runs at Suginohara so we could snowboard right to the lodge. The beds were comfortable and each room could control its heat and a/c. For a sold-out weekend, the place never felt crowded. The vibe was great and being able to chit-chat with other travelers was nice. There are snacks and drinks to purchase. Tea, coffee, and fruit were readily available, free of charge.

Summary: Great vibe, location and amazing hosts. Very cozy stay.

Positive: Chris & Amy were amazing hosts. Accommodation is fantastic, in house food AMAZING! (Important if you are not keen on a short walk to the main centre to look for other options.) Ski-in & out from the venue to Suginohara. Great atmosphere. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of enjoying some powder in Japan.

Positive: Amazing location. Chris and team made our first snow experience so easy, nothing was too much trouble. They were able to suggest many other local attractions to explore. The Drifter lodge is warm and cosy, we had everything we needed. Will definitely be staying at the Drifter Lodge in the future 🙂.
