Summary: Pool was not maintained. The chemicals were very off. Too much chlorine. White granules lay in a pile in pool bottom. I own and maintain my own pool at my residence. There was no exception for early checki in what so ever. Check out is at 11:00 am. 4 parties were asking for early check in due to a rain storm hitting at 4 pm. Apparently only two room attendants are on staff. Considering the location many people us included drive hours to get here. Advertised that the restaurant serves continuous meals, yet not open at 3:30 even for a bar drink. Beverages are in the Spa apparently. No map provided as to where this was. There are no guides to restaurants nor was a staff person at the desk when we stopped in to check on food/activities in the area. Felt very unwelcoming to someone unfamiliar with the area. Rooms overall are nice. Mostly clean.

Summary: Very clean, only one washcloth for 2 people for 2 nites. We had a hard time with the shower, no water pressure couldn’t get rinse d off properly . Also very slippery in the shower, slid once but grabbed the handle. We loved the outside amenities. The stream and pond were very relaxing and calming. Didn’t use the pool and spa but we walked through, very clean and appealing.

Summary: The place is in a beautiful spot but the rooms could be maintained better (e.g. patch holes in the wall, patch paint, no rodent poop right outside the room door etc). The restaurant could be so nice if it was updated and all the amenities (e.g. working soda machine, bar tender on staff) were working. I had a massage and the therapist (Natasha) was great and very nice. The spa is a little out of date and was too rustic for my liking but it had everything that you need and it was very clean.

Summary: Our cabin was delightful The on-site restaurant had good food options and was a real convenience after a long drive. The couple lower scores I gave were due to two issues. We had a huge spider on the ceiling in a bedroom. I contacted the desk to send someone to help kill it since it was located over the bed and hard to reach. I was told someone would come, but no one ever did. I am 80 years old and had to stand on the bed to reach it. A safety issue for me. In the morning I discovered the microwave did not work so we were unable to fix our planned breakfast. I still enjoyed my stay and loved the environment. I would definitely stay there again.

Summary: I want to start by saying that the view at this place is absolutely amazing. The vibe is calm and zen—the pond, the creek, the waterfall in the mountains, and the friendly, kind staff all make this place worth it. However, if you pay attention to small details, you may notice some downsides. Some amenities were very old or didn’t work well. For example, the toaster was old and rusty, and the refrigerator was outdated and made loud noises that made it hard to sleep. Also, the light above the stove didn’t work, so I had to cook with very little lighting. Overall, everything looked clean, but when I wiped the dining table and the countertop, the cloth came out dirty. The floor was also dirty, and the worst part was the sofas—both were very dirty. I had to put a blanket over them so my kids could sit on them. On a positive note, the beds were nice and clean, and the bathroom was clean as well. Thank you!

Summary: Will never stay at Double Eagle again. - Our door lock would not work and I told her guy working there the first night and he said it was a keycard issue even though it clearly wasn't. He "reset" the cards and they still didn't work. My family was locked out after snowboarding all day and they had to call a maintence man to help (Sicily I think was the name of the front desk help this day who was very nice/helpful). So - we stand around for an hour as two guys try to fix the door and are unable to. So, we have to pack up the entire room that we were fully unpacked and move to a new cabin. The cabin was slightly better than where they had us originally (which was a nice upgrade) BUT THEN THEY TRIED TO CHARGE US AN EXTRA $50 PER DAY FOR THE NEW CABIN - EVEN THE DAY THAT WE STAYED IN THE ORIGINAL LOWER GRADE ROOM!!? - Also, note that that the gym and some areas do not allow kids - We went to the restaurant there and there was 1 poor server for like 10 families and we had to wait for the check so long, my wife and kids left and I stuck around until I could finally pay. - The new room we were put in didn't have coffee and was SOOO creaky and loud when the wind blew, it kept me up all night. The original room had super loud floors too. - The bedroom light flickered constantly if turned on Just overall, very disappointed and annoyed with this place. I have literally never written a review here before but I felt the need to after this poor experience.
