Positive: Peaceful and tranquil location with very friendly and hospitable host and very friendly animals as well. Lovely walks in the nearby forest. I think it’s a very good stopping off point as the evening meal is the same every night so perhaps good for 1 or 2 nights or maybe more if you have your own car and are self catering.

Negative: Location is peaceful but difficult as in the middle of nowhere so no public transport and limited very expensive taxi services so use of your own or a hire car is a must. The swimming pool was green due to the extreme heat but it was cool and refreshing. The food was very tasty and all freshly homemade and home cooked but a bit expensive for what it was especially the breakfast which was just cereal; bread and jam, juice and coffee.

Summary: Peaceful stop off point for a refreshing break in between travel.

Positive: The property is vast and nested in a lovely valley. The woods all around are beautiful and we enjoyed the peace and quiet. There are lots of rescued animals on site, all well cared for and much loved. Our kids did not use the pool because the weather was not cooperating. We were in the Marquise suite which fit our family of five comfortably; it was a good value. The TV worked, but the internet connection was spotty, perfect if you need to disconnect. Our hostess was charming and a very good cook. I would recommend getting dinner there. We felt that we received a very warm welcome.

Negative: Some people might be surprised by the rusticity of the accommodation. The location is remote and businesses in rural areas tend to close down for lunch.

Positive: Super friendly welcome from the host. Location has an old farmhouse charm in a remote location in a beautiful valley. Lots of farm animals to keep the kids occupied!
