Positive: A beautiful house located on the outskirts of Newmachar, if you want peace and quiet this is ideal. The house is full of character,very clean and the room was very comfortable. Our hosts were just lovely, so welcoming to both our dogs and ourselves. Our breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of choice.

Positive: Well the room was very good with facilities and gr8 bed, owners very friendly dogs as well! enjoyed the lounge area also a super duper breakfast, so all in all enjoyable stay, will consider another visit, even the cockerel friendly haha..

Negative: hotel a wee bit out the way and mobile connection bit iffy, otherwise very good..

Summary: very good for short stay vacation nice and quiet and nice owners..

Positive: A real gem of a place. We stayed in Room 1 with our well behaved and well travelled German Shepherd Dog, Angus, who was made very welcome and settled immediately! Very comfortable room with more than expected facilities and little extra touches provided. The best couple of nights sleep we'd had as it was so quiet and tranquil. Chris and Karolyn are fabulous hosts and the breakfasts were the best we've ever been served. We only booked this as a stop-off at the end of our Scottish road trip; however, we wished that we could have stayed longer. Two nights wasn't long enough and we enjoyed our stay so much that within a day of returning home to Cardiff, we re-booked for 5 nights in October!
