Positive: The caretaker women, Shanta, was excellent . Very polite and so friendly and helpful. Her cooking and the variety she served was excellent. The place is clean , spacious and has a beautiful valley view.
Negative: Few things to consider before you opt for this property. Firstly the approach road is narrow and risky with steep climb with couple of places really narrow and challenging. If you are not an experienced driver, you will struggle. Secondly, after 8 pm the caretaker leaves home and no one is there in the property. You are on your own. Pitch dark forest surrounding and animals moving around, it can be scary if you and family are alone. Which was our condition. The owner should hire and keep a security in-house for safety and in case of emergency . Although the lady said security person goes around the estate at night we didn’t hear any whistle sound or any sign. But for these two challenges, this place is great and you will have a good experiences!

Positive: The view from the cottage is to die for!! It took our breath away. Food was amazing( just limited options), Priya the chef was very hospitable and cooks tasty food. The Jeep ride was so good and the driver was patient and helped us find spots to take pictures. Morning trek was a pleasant experience and we enjoyed it thoroughly. Overall an awesome experience at coonoor. Staying at this place definitely made coonoor the best place we visited on this trip. Ashwin the owner of the property was very thoughtful and helped us with our booking.
