Positive: Mould in bathroom cobwebs evertwhere and centipedes everywhere on the ground floor also paint cracking on ceiling

Negative: Noisy , busy main road , lots of fast drivers. TV was old and slow.

Positive: This property is very well appointed. The beds are comfortable and so are the sofas. The kitchen is very well equipped and the bathrooms are nice too. The heating and hot water work very well. Mr Smith was very pleasant on the phone and very helpful. It is a very Scottish house and this added to the Scottishness of our holiday.

Negative: The house is by the main road. It does not have double glazing and so the noise of the traffic is very intrusive. If you live in a city and you are used to fast traffic noise, this won't be a problem but otherwise, it will be. Earplugs will only marginally help you. The notes along with the email we received from Mrs Smith are stern. I suspect due to some previous bad experience with guests, but there are ways and ways of asking guests to be careful with not leaving the fridge door open, for example. Having to strip our beds and leaving the sheets "neatly folded" is a strange request, but maybe it is normal in Scotland.

Summary: Peculiar. Very comfortable but ruined by road noise

Positive: Great house in great location! Forests and river Dee just next to the property. Place is warm and cosy, big fully equipped kitchen, big sitting. Upstairs we loved size of both bedrooms and two bathrooms as well. Supermarket Tesco is about 15-20 mins drive away if you need anything. This was our first holiday in Scotland and we loved it!

Negative: I don't have anything to mention on here.

Negative: Being located at the side of a busy road meant the traffic noise was loud at times.

Positive: Beautiful location and very nice accommodation/ property. Great to have a good kitchen and a bathroom per room. Bird feeders were a lovely touch. Nice to see the tits, finches and woodpecker feeding daily

Negative: Tv a bit out dated with temperamental remote. Garden needed tidied a bit to make accessing the property a bit easier.
