Positive: The apartment itself was great. All that you could want or need in relation to amenities.

Negative: No outdoor space though or natural light bar through shop front windows. Also not much within walking distance for eating out, but great kitchen if planning to cook.

Positive: Good location for our needs. Easy parking, very comfortable bed, good shower and pleasant and thoughtful extras included. Kitchen generally well fitted and everything worked. Generous sized fridge/freezer.

Negative: Dirty floors turning new white slippers grey after first entry. Extension lead and sockets lying in a pool of water at front of washer/dryer - health & safety weakness. Pulling out the machine revealled an incorrectly fitted inlet pipe allowing water to run down the machine onto the floor. There was mold on the floor at the back of the machine. A vertical side unit to the kitchen cabinets had gone black & soft due to water ingress. I fixed the pipe connection, washed the floor and draped the extension lead over the top of the machine rather than on the floor. Layers of dust on the TV and fridge/freezer and thick dust and other debris under the bed was not nice to see. The flooring under the furniture was much cleaner looking than the rest of the flooring. Floor tiles in the bathroom need a good steam cleaning. A standard lamp by the window was in 2 pieces with wiring exposed. I fixed that too. There were no instructions for the washer/dryer or the very noisy air conditioning unit. There is a lack of drawers and nowhere to hang clothes, so we lived out of our suitcases for 14 nights. This 'apartment' is a converted shop unit with full height windows at the front and no windows anywhere else. The huge blinds and curtains covered the windows, but it felt strange. Communications via booking.com seemed to be rejected. No idea if that was due to booking.com systems or the hosts. Everything seemed to be plugged into extension leads rather than sockets on the wall.

Summary: More emphasis on designer embellishments than practicalities.
