Positive: The property is lovely and excellent value for money. The host was also very helpful and communicative. Really a great experience!

Negative: The property is in a quiet residential area not directly next to the beach or other attractions. The beach is around a 10 minute drive from the homestay. This worked well for us since we had rented a car for our time in Desaru, so it was easy to get around. But if you don't have a vehicle then the location might not be ideal.

Positive: Value is unbeatable. Huge house, cutlery and kitchen items are provided, and washing machine is convenient to have (no dryer but our clothes dried quickly in the sun). Generally quite clean. Some minor issues which the host rectified quickly. Great and responsive host. Children's play corner came in very handy, and the baby gates let our children wander around safely. There is a small minimart nearby. It is a gated housing estate so feels very secure. Would stay again if we came back.

Negative: One of the toilet sink shelves was bent. Would be good to have more bottles of hand soap in toilets, and more shelves and hooks in toilet. Host could also provide thicker blankets for all the rooms as it was a bit cold with the thinner blankets. If these are addressed it would be perfect.
