Summary: The staff and breakfast quality and choice were very nice but the hotel maintenance leaves a lot to be desired: 1. Loose toilet seat 2. No possibility to control the flow of the water, if you want it hot you have it at full blast 3. Holes in the bathroom that can be easily fixed 4. Operating bed side lamps is a struggle - one had a switch near the socket so you needed to get out of bed to switch it off while the other one had none at all so you needed to remove the light bulb... 5. Lots of spiders although we did not have the terrace door open 6. We were left to choose breakfast time either at 8 or 10.30. I understand that it is tough with full occupancy so maybe guests should be informed before arrival to pick their preferred time instead to be 'greeted' with such a choice.

Summary: Lovely quiet and secluded. The area around the lodge is absolutely breathtaking. Breakfast and dinner were lovely as well. We used the lodge as our base for a couple of days of hiking in Connemara and it was perfect! The only issue we had was our room was too hot and we couldn’t find a thermostat to lower the heating, opening windows was not really an option because of insects.

Summary: Our room was a hike to our car. Gnats ate me up every trip I took, sweating. The experience is just not what we were looking for. We were in a beautiful, serene place…and they had the music playing over the nature. The rooms quality did not match the attitude of the staff. One bright spot wa our waitress at dinner.
