This charming holiday house is located in a large private garden in a rural setting making it totally safe for young children.
As well as relaxing in the lovely garden, from the front door you can walk, hike, cycle, golf, play football.
Within the garden we have an annexe where you can play table tennis and relax. Our hidden gem is located in central Scotland. Glasgow, Edinburgh, Perth, Dundee, Dunfermline and Stirling are all within 45 minutes, St Andrews 1 hour, Gleneagles 20 minutes, The Trossachs 1 ½ hours. There is a huge abundance of walking and hiking trails, plenty of places to cycle, endless golf courses, lovely lochs and rivers to fish, numerous castles and gardens to visit, great shopping, cinemas, theatres, and of course relaxing.
Within the chalet there are 4 bedrooms comprising two doubles and two singles; an open plan kitchen diner/sitting room with French windows into the south-west facing garden; a shower room; a bathroom; a laundry room and a porch large enough to leave wet clothes, boots etc.
The open plan living room has a wood-burning stove, television, wifi, seating and dining for up to 8 people. The kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, Smeg fridge and double oven. The utility room has a washing machine.
The garden has a patio with garden furniture - ideal for relaxing and soaking up the glorious landscape and wildlife. The “games” field through a gate is perfect for playing outdoor games.

Summary: If you are looking for a property in a peaceful surrounding in nature in the Lowlands, this is a very good place to stay. We, a family of 3 adult people, enjoyed our stay in Rumbling Bridge very much. The chalet had everything what is needed for a comfortable accomodation. The chalet, the terrace, the garden and our neighbours (great spotted woodpecker, great tit, jay, pheasants, hares, deer) were quite nice, and we spent some very relaxing holidays. Rumbling Bridge was a good starting point for visits of Edinburgh (1 hour car drive), Loch Leven (15 min car drive), Loch Lomond (1 to 1.5 car drive). We can highly recommend this accomodation.

Summary: The cottage is very well equipped and decorated with great taste, very spacious and comfortable. Our kids also much appreciated the table tennis. The cottage is situated in a lovely quiet countryside and offers nice walks directly from the doorstep, but is also situated perfectly for day trips to Edinburgh, Dundee, Stirling, golfing in Perthshire or rafting on the river Tay. The bird feeder in the beautiful garden attracts numerous birds, pheasants and red squirrels all day, which is a pleasant sight. Joanna is a great host, very responsive, and we greatly appreciated the cake offered as a welcome gift. Thank you very much Joanna for the great stay!

Summary: This is a lovely house in a stunning location. There are red squirrels, pheasants and the occasional red deer in the garden, which pleased the kids! Lots to do within an hour of the house, so it is an ideal base for both Fife and Perthshire. The house is fully equipped and very comfortable. The owner has thought of everything. Communication was good. It is very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Summary: We had a fantastic time at this property. The chalet was spotless and had everything we needed. The garden and outside area is great. It was lovely watching the red squirrels at the bird feeder. The chalet is in a very peaceful location which was what we were after. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a quiet getaway. Jo was only a text away if we needed anything. Looking forward to our next trip to Rumbling Bridge.
