Positive: Lovely location with a unique character. Friendly hosts, who live next door and clear instructions. Free and convenient parking 2 minutes walk from the front door. The kitchen is well equiped. Vollenhove is a cute little city. There is ample shopping within a five minute walk of the house. The place is excellent for exploring the wider surroundings. Zwolle is a great city at about a half hour drive. There are also lots of other nice destinations nearby, like Kampen, Urk, Lemmer, and all kinds of beautiful watery landscapes (rivers, IJsselmeer, polderlandscapes, peat extractions etc.) giving you a historic crash course in how-to-build-the-netherlands. Amsterdam is only slightly over an hour away too.

Positive: It is a quaint quiet little town and was very pretty to walk around. There were several shops right on the doorstep for getting fresh bread etc. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming.
